Use the above link to trouble shoot the problem.
Error: "Carrier Stall" ID:470
To check the cartridge carrier:
1. Unplug the printer.
2. Move the cartridges to the left by hand and then take them out.
3. Try to print without the cartridges in the carrier. Do you still receive a Carrier Stall error message?
4. If not, put the cartridges back into the carrier and snap them in at the back. The message should no longer appear.
If the power light on the printer is not blinking, the error message may be caused by a communication error. Do the following:
1. Remove any other devices attached to the USB/LPT port.
2. Uninstall the Lexmark printer.
3. Connect the printer directly to the PC and ensure that power is being supplied to the printer.
4. Reinstall the printer.

This is from Lexmark Tech Chat ((IT WORKED))
The encoder strip is most likely the problem. Unplug the power from the printer. Open the front cover and move the cartridge carrier to the center. You should see a white ribbon cable, a thin plastic strip and a black belt with teeth. The thin plastic strip is the encoder strip. It rides in a sensor on the back of the cartridge carrier that you will not be able to see. Reach in with the first finger of either hand and carefully strum the strip as if playing a guitar.
The strip will need to be lowered slightly and brought towards you slightly. Please be careful not to break the strip or your printer will not function. Once you believe the strip is set correctly, plug the power back and try printing the self test. If it slams to the left again, the strip is not yet set correctly.
Please Note: Fixing the encoder strip is a delicate procedure. During the troubleshooting, if the strip breaks, you will not be able to use the printer. We will replace the printer, only if it is under warranty.

It seems you have some piece of paper in the carrier.
Could be just a very small piece somewhere in it... remove the cover and take a very close look. Check all rolls if they are loose or if something is locking them.

Turn on the Printer and Open the top cover of the Lexmark 2600 by lifting the cover
upward. you will find all cartridges down there.
Now you see how to replace them
Remove the black ink cartridge from it's packaging. Remove
the tape from the black ink cartridge first and place the cartridge into the
left ink cartridge holder. Press the cartridge down into until you hear it lock
into place. Close the ink cartridge holder lid by pressing it down firmly. This
secures the ink cartridge in place.
Remove the colored ink cartridge from the packaging and
remove the tape from the cartridge. Place the cartridge into the right
cartridge holder and press down until it clicks into place. Push down the
cartridge holder lid.
Close the lid of the Lexmark 2600 and allow the print
cartridges to align. The power light will be blinking while the cartridges are
