Hp 20-f230 bios battery replacement

Remove the case and it is usually a CR2032 button battery. You will see it on the motherboard with a small clip. Having said that, your is not a straight forward desktop, but a Apple type clone. There is a picture of the motherboard here and I don't see anything that looks like a CMOS battery. You can contact HP Support direct. How do I change a motherboard on my hp pavilion elite model m9650f?

Some HP and Dell desktop computers motherboards and cases are not the standard design and so cannot be modified by changing the motherboard for a non-HP one as it wont fit.

If you are going to change the motherboard on such a machine for a retail bought board then you may as well replace the case at the same time and re-build a new computer from the HP parts.

Changing your motherboard will in effect 'de-brand' your computer anyway as all that makes it HP or whatever in terms of hardware is the BIOS software on the motherboard.

Please rate if this helped you.

Replaced motherboard &hard drive in hp pavilion, now it will not recognize reovery cd

Replacing major hardware in a computer makes it a whole new computer. The motherboard is the operative part here that is causing your problem. When you replace a motherboard it becomes a new machine entirely. It won't recognize the recovery CD because it doesn't recognize your computer as the same machine it was loaded on. You will have to buy a new copy of windows to put on your computer.

My HP Pavilion computer m7667c makes a beeping noise when I try to turn it on. The monitor is black as well. I tried cleaning/vaccuuming all around CPU and power cords but that didn't help. My sons play...

Need to know how many beeps it's making. You can try removing the video card and reseating it, it may have gotten jossled around causing the card to not seat properly, this is unless you have built in video card on the motherboard.
