My tom tom says no gps signal for the last two weeks. How do I fix this.

Did anything change in your environment (new car?) two weeks ago?

What happened immediately before you lost signal?

Is everything else working okay on the unit?

Have you updated everything with Tom Tom Home?

Have you tried resetting the unit (paperclip in the small hole on the bottom of the navigator)?

Have you tried resetting factory defaults? (Menu item under Change Preferences; you need to Show All Menu Items to see this one.)

BTW, nobody's satellite got hit by anything.

Scrolling adverts after a minute on tom tom

This is an option that you UNTICK

On the regular display touch the map area once

Select the spanner / wrench icon once

now select Safety Preferences

Untick Hide most menu items
Suggest Driving Breaks (unless you are a trucker)
Show Safety Reminders

Press Done until you reach the Warn me which side of the road option and select Never.

Press Done until you reach Turn off Map display and select Never

Press Right arrow until you see Show Tips and also turn that off too.

You should now be good to go.

Tom Tom XL worked fine and then after stopping for lunch could not find satelite signal the rest of the 200 mile drive.

Try going online at the Tom Tom site and updating the device (it's free). There's a new update each week that tells the Tom Tom where the satellites will be during the coming seven days. Admittedly, this only speeds up the process and not finding a signal for 200 miles is a stretch, but it's worth a try if you don't regularly update.

Take the Tomtom to a shop and trade it for a garmin unit. It has global map and u can navigate country such as Vietnam with it.. using GSP coordinate.. also there is a Garmin map for Vietnam free on internet.. just google it and you will find it.

No GPS Signal in TomTom One XL all of a sudden

I suddenly lost the GPS signal today and could not get it back. All I got was the "No valid GPS signal". My solution was to tap on the GPS satellite bars when in the route map. this brought up the "Status summary page of the TOMTOM.

I then again tapped the satellite bar which brought up the "GPS Status" page. I then tapped the bar labeled "configure".

The radio button next to the option titled "Minutes (dm.m') was selected. I then moved the selection to "Degrees (d.d) and it started working.

I had just downloaded the GPS fix 5 days ago so it is not like this suddenly caused it to stop working.

This may not work for everyone but this is what it took to get mine working.

Cheers

You've posted in the generic section. Before we can help you, we need to know exactly which model and manufacturer of GSP you are using.
