Question about GE DVLR223 Dryers

1 Answer

I have a Simplicity dryer that needs a drum belt. Mine snapped. The rest of the dryer works. Do you have a universal belt that will fit this model. It is old. I do not know where to look for the model # as I have looked all over the machine. The only # that I can find is 52338 It is a Simplicity Heavy Duty 3 cycle. The belt has 4 grooves, 3/8" wide and 48" long?

The model #dvlr223 is missing some numbers and letters at the end, if you can find the whole model number, open the door and you should see a decal with the model and serial number, you can go to www.searspartsdirect and enter your model # and you will get an exploded view of all the parts for your dryer, try to get the part # and find it local, they charge alot for shipping

Drum not spinning on my indisit dryer

If the dryer has a belt fitted it may have come off or snapped, remove the lid or look underneath and you may see a broken belt.
If not belt driven the brushes in the motor may need replacing if they ahve worn.

Hi, I have a Beko DRCT70W tumble dryer and the belt keeps breaking. I've replaced it twice in the last month, so I think there must be another fault with the dryer which is causing this. The drum...

hi folks the beko tumble dryers have a felt seal that runs along the front of the drum that wears through causing load on the drum, belt and motor causing the belt to melt and snap, replace the felt you will have no more issues, i got mine off of ebay pretty cheap

How do i install a belt on a whirlpool LHE5700 dryer

This instruction works for most any dryer--- it should for yours too:
1) The big trick for a dryer belt is getting it around the drum... the rest is easy. You'll either take the top off and work with the drum to ease the belt around the drum- the front of the drum simply rests on slides/rollers depending on the model
You may need to remove some piece from the front to make this happen too-
2) re-fit the belt then by first taking the inspection cover off (or the whole back of the unit) and working the belt to the back of the drum, near to the pulley and the motor...
3) then, work to unload the spring, place the belt around the pulleys (it should be pretty obvious how to do this) and then release the spring mechanism--- this will tighten the belt between the drum and the drive pulleys.
Good luck!!!
