Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hi hope you are able to help. Although there is power to my panasonic SC-MT1 DVD player as indicated on the sub woofer and the DVD player I can not operate it. When it is first switched on at the mains the blue display flashes and then disapperas altogether. I am unable to turn it on, eject or use any of the controls either on the DVD player or by the remote control. Many thanks.

Hi,

Many thanks for your email and yes I have solved the problem. Unfortunately, the TV ariel that went in to the back of the freeview box was internally collecting water when it rained. The ariel runs down the roof and then down the outside of the house and some how water gets into and travels down the inside of the cable. The freeview box sat on top of the DVD player and the water ran through the vents in the freeview and dripped into the vents of the DVD player and that is why it no longer works.

Kind regards

Rachel

HI i have Panasonic SB-WA330 sub woofer & speakers(no main unite) can i use this sub woofer & speakers with any other DVD player.thanx.

Not unless it's a similar Panasonic main unite. There's that pesky special connector "A" (so common on all-in-one products) to deal with.

The picture here http://www.forodvd.com/tema/97518-duda-usar-nuevo-ampli-con-altavoces-antiguos/ shows it requiring an SA-HT810 or SA-ST1 source.

Even beyond that speed bump, most stand-alone DVD players have no facilities for on-the-fly adjustment of volume. That is one reason why they make main units.

Repeated F61 fault code on Panasonic Home cinema system Model: SC-HT990 Is it the fan in the sub woofer?

Hello

F 61 error means the failure of FAN
most probably dust in the fan made it to stop working so clean the dust and connect the fan to an external supply of 12v(using red and black wire) for 5 minutes and reconnect it to the unit otherwise replace the fan with new one.
Surely this will solve the problem.

Kind regards

Hi I own a Technics Hi-Fi system (Model SC-EH780) and would like to attach a subwoofer to it. I cannot find the subwoofer unit that is supposed to go with this system. Can you help?

Any powered sub-woofer will work with it. Check the back of the Technics, make sure there is an RCA output labeled "Sub-woofer" or "Woofer" or "Sub". If so, you can get any brand of powered sub woofer and it will work. A powered sub-woofer is one with an amplifier for the sub built into the box and you will need to plug it into an A/C outlet as well. The only exceptions to what will work with this unit is to make sure you are not buying a sub-woofer that is made to only work with the companion unit it is originally sold with. Many Panasonic and JVC sub woofers are like this. Just look for a sub-woofer that is not part of any system. Velodyne makes some really great sub-woofers that would work nice with yours, but they can be a little expensive, but they are very good.

If your Technics has no RCA output for the sub-woofer, you will need to make sure that whatever powered sub-woofer you buy has a speaker level input for it. Most powered sub-woofers have this feature, so that you may just run the front speaker outputs of the receiver into the subwoofer and then the sub-woofer will have a set of speaker outputs right below the speaker inputs so you can still have your front speakers connected to that and not loose anything from your system.

I hope I have explained this in a manner you will understand easy, if not just post whatever questions you may have right on this thread and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

It would also be appreciated if you could rate this solution if you no longer need any help from me. If you do require more help, please wait to rate this until we are finished. That way I do not get an undeserved bad rating when we have not even finished our communications.
By the way, A "Thanks for trying" and "Helpful" rating are really not good, they always end up lowering my overall score.

Hi folks!!!

Might be cheaper to pick-up a sub-woofer and a set of speakers at the local store. I checked e-bay..no luck, and it doesn't look like Panasonic will sell separates. It will be easy to get a color match.

Help with SB-WA920 sub woofer PLEASE!!!!

Sure, you can use transition between SB-WA920 system cable with other output. So, you use them as speaker. That's it.
