I forgot my password to my samsung R530 notebook how do I reset it?

You can reset windows administrator password with Windows built-in administrator account:

1. Log on with the guest account on Vista, then right click computer, and choose Management.
2. Expand Local Users and Groups and Users in the console.
3. Right-click Administrator account and select Properties.
4. On the General tab, clear the Account is Disabled check box.
5. Close the console.
Now the super administrator account is successfully enabled. Next, you can easily reset the forgotten admin password from "Start->Control Panel".

which password do you need the login password?

That is most likely the BIOS password, the best solution would be to ask your brother for the password so that you can boot to Windows and use it.

if you forget the system pass word. reset by removing battery and putting it back on the laptop motherboard. is that system password or windows?
