You can use the AV Mode button when the VAIO is off. This will start the VAIO in Instant On mode. Instant On is a Pre-Operating System environment which allows to enjoy some multimedia without having to wait for Windows to boot.
Also, you can download the user manual for your laptop by opening the address mentioned below:
SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES IN DEVICE MANAGER UNDER ACTIONS AT THE TOP THEN REBOOT WHEN CHECKED SEE IF THAT HELPS IF NOT CHECK ALL UR UR UDATES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED
The VAIO Launcher Software is responsible for the proper functioning of the AV Mode buttons. Please download and install the same in the computer from the below link:
Perform a Windows update first to see if there are updates to correct the drivers. Then if any drivers are still missing, go to the Sony website and locate the Windows 7 drivers for your computer model.
As you have installed the Windows 7 Operating System in the Computer, it is required to re-install the Drivers and Software in the Computer to fix this issue. Installling the following files in the in the given order should fix the issue.
Please download each file and save it on the Desktop. After that, please double click on the downloaded file to begin the installation. Please make sure that you restart the Computer after each installation for the settings to take the effect. This should fix the issue.
Hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or require any further assistance.
Hi.
According to the information online, the issue might be due to the VAIO Launcher Application.
The VAIO Launcher Application is responsible for the functionality of the AV Mode keys.
Hence, it would be better to re-install the VAIO Launcher Application.
It is also recommended to install the Sony Shared Library before installing the VAIO Launcher Application.
I have mentioned all the links from which you can download the Sony Shared Library and the VAIO Launcher Application:
