Buy a new one, they are very cheap, fixing it is not easy.
If the cable is not removable you may need to buy a new monitor

How to fix a broken earthernet port hole snap that click and snap the earther net cable in the socket

you can do several things.
  1. have the whole cable replaced
  2. remove the end of both connection and re-crimp the broken end, a computer shop can do it for you.
  3. if you are not in such a hurry, re plug the end again and tape it with the vga cable to hold it in place.

My vga port doesn't work right

Your VGA connector has a broken solder joint on the video board or the mother board. This isn't an easy fix.

Suggest you look for a VGA to USB dongle or adapter instead. Install the driver, and you should be good to go. You'll just have to take your dongle along whenever you need a VGA connection.

My computer is on but on the screen it says self test feature check with a list of colors. What do I do from here?

try to check the vga cable (from your monitor to the cpu)make it tight, if it can't fix your problem turn off your computer, open the case, remove your memory (RAM) and try to clean it with pencil eraser, put your memory again to your mainboard and turn on your pc, if this can't fix your problem maybe the display adapter (VGA) is broken, if you use and external vga try same way with your memory, if you use an internal vga you should find another vga to test on your cpu

What input are you using. If vga check the pins on the port of the projector or the vga cable may have a damaged bent/broken pin. component may have a bad cable.

Apple multi scan 20 display. Screen works fine but green is predominant. How and where do I adjust the green intensity?

This can be adjusted by the RGB settings on the menu (monitor setting menu button on the monitor), Brightness color contrast also helps.
That is providing that its the settings thats causing your problem. In my experience the VGA cable sometimes shorts out producing that green hue. You may need to shake the cable a bait to see if it clears up or causes weird iterations. Once this happens it means the cable is shorting. It could be a broken solder to a broken wire. Replacing the vga cable and resoldering the connectors inside the monitor (where the cable jack connects to the main board) fix's the problem.

Moniter colour gone pink

Cables do periodically go bad. But If I were you I'd be more worried about a bent/broken pins on the end of the cable. Take a flashlight and shine it on the pins on both end of the cable to see if they have any bent/ broken pins. If you do see a broken pin you will want to check the connectors on both monitors to make sure you don't have a broken connector pin stuck in them. Also  If the broken pins are stuck in the monitors I'd reccomend going to an electronics repair shop to have them fix it for a low price, But this is a worst case scenario. I'd bet its just a bad cable, or the cable just went bad.
If you don't see any signs of broken pins, then I'd reccomend getting a new cable and a higher quality/heavier duty one.
If its a "VGA"(analog) cable with blue connectors, I would reccomend upgrading to a HDMI or DV(Digital format) I cable if possible. And if thats not doable and you must use VGA for some reason I'd reccomend getting a heavier duty cable from an online shopping site like newegg.com. I personally just got a Rosewill VGA cable and it works perfectly for me. Just make sure you get the correct female-female connector types and also make sure its the appropriate distance. And remember if your getting a VGA(analog cable) the shorter or less cable you need the better, since analog cables degrade over larger distances.

Power light flashes with no display

That usually means that the connection between the PC and the monitor has been interupted- check that the cable (probably has blue ends) between the two is firmly connected, and power it back up. If that doesn't work, you have one of three problems; a broken VGA cable, a broken monitor, or a broken video card. Finding out which- you'll actually need someone tech-savvy there to help you figure that out. Try plugging the monitor into a different computer. If that fails, use a different VGA cable (cables are pretty cheap at monoprice.com), and if that fails, it's your video card.
