It is a short inside the dvd

It is a short in the audio module. When you get E61 it means the audio power module is gone.
This is a common problem with panasonic, which has a terrible record with their
audio power modules. The RSN311W6B audio module from Panasonic costs about $130.00.
The whole job done in a repair shop should be around $250.

If you are lucky it can also be the the voltage regulator bad.
    Part #STK470-050A $14.00.
most likely you need to change the whole audio module, or test all capacitors and ICs until you find the bad one.

HELLO

As far as I can know, F61 means your output IC is dead. Contact a service centre in your locality for repair!

check the fan, if its dusty clean it then run the player. If it works, your in luck. If the fans are moving and f61 still shows up, the D-amp IC is shortened ( inside you will see IC 5000/IC5200 / IC 5300, these needs to be replaced) its the one by the big cooling fins (behind the rear fan)

SC-BT 100 Error Code f61

Had the same problem. Found that the code refers to the cooling fan. Could be that the fan is dusty or not running when the system starts up. I removed the fan with the two screws and reseated the plug. Make certain that the short, black wire (that seems to go to nothing) is securing the plug to the board.

The F61 indicates a problem detected in the output amp stage and the unit us shutdown to prevent further damage. If you can supply the model number, I can give you the part required and the approximate cost.

System keeps shutting down

Code F61 can point to trouble in the audio output ic chip, are the loudspeakers connected correctly no short circuits. Also check that the cooling fan operates.
