Question about Cameras

Open Question

CCD-TR6 What if the tape door won't open, you changed the battery and it opened once, never again. CCD-TR33 I can get this one to work, but all the tapes have a static line through the middle. I took an unused still in package, but old tape and recorded and it has the same, is this the camera or the tape? Thanks for any help you can give. Esther

Same problem, same frustration. Just flashing, won't open to insert tape, Battery relatively new. Is there any way to get it to open to put in tape? I hate this technology, not along far enough.

I have the IPAQ pocket pc 3765 and I was replacing battery but when I opened I saw the battery door out of its place but I do not know where is located then I can not to finish my work. Can you describe...

Welcome to Fixya

As far as i can remember, there are no battery door for ipaq. Once the device opens, gently pry out the original battery. This one should come right off (it is only stuck using some double sided tape). All you need to do is to replace the double adhesive tape if you are going to replace the battery then close the unit. Tip: Use an old credit card or something that won't damage the case to gently lift the battery out.

Just purchased a Sony TRV65, tape door will not stay shut.

This is due to relay sticking, the tape may also have a bit of rubbish plastic over one of it's holes (see underside of cas tape to make sure of this.

If battery is fully charged and unit still will not open, try removing the tape door and see if there is tape wrapped around capstan or ther parts. If you cannot find anything apparent, take unit to qualified pro tech

CCD-TRV308 - TAPE DOOR WON'T OPEN

depends where the tape is located if it's still wrapped around the head i would recommend taking it in if it's inside the cassette you can have to take the door off and see if it pops out.
Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.

Yes. First, try removing the camcorder battery, then turn on the switch on the front to either camera, or player modes.
let alone for 1 minute, then turn switch to OFF or the center position, install battery ( or the Sony supplied power converter) then let the camera try to open the door. DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THE DOOR OPEN. You will kill te camera's functions for all time. Then you can sell it on ebay for parts!

Second, get a set of miniture screwdrivers, get a place where you have much light, and a place to keep the miniture screws you will be removing from the case.

Remove all obvios black screws. The best place to start is from the battery area then the bottom, then sides and finally and CAREFULLY remove the nose cover for the camera lens. Work in a warm room, as plastic will have less chance of fracturing in such an environment.

Afer all screws are removed ( just the ones on the outside mind you, carefully work the nose piece off by gently pulling anti-clockwise, the view being looking down from above to the top of the camera. Ease... this nose cone off. the door then will be a cinch, as you gently pull from the bottom of the door and it snaps off from the bottom, then it unhooks from the inside top. Again, you must use extreme care. Good luck.
