Question about Brother HL 5040 Laser Printer
I have a paper jammed Brother HL 5040 B&W laser printer. The jammed is broken off inside the printer and there is no access to remove the paper. It can't even be seen so it will need to be taken apart. I am looking for a free guide on how to do it and put it back together.
Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org
I refilled the ink tank immediately after seeing low blank ink flashing on its window. The low blank ink continuously flashes even after I refilled it. What to do?

If you remove the drum unit and cartridge it will all come out in one go.
Open the right hand end. The black T700 cartrige will be seen and it looks as if it is screwed in. However it is NOT just get a firm grip and pull the entire unit out (It snaps in and is quite tight... keep pulling it will come and there are no clips to break as you pull)
As it is removed, all the paper will come out in one go. A bit daunting if you have not done it before. Refit is the exact reverse, push it in quite firmly and it will latch back in place with a pleasing clunk! Hope that helps.
