Question about HTC Touch P3450 Smartphone

1 Answer

I turned my HTC Touch on today, and all my photos and notes were gone. Here are a few things to consider: -I think I just store the pictures on my phone rather than a memory card -I dropped my phone during a convention and the battery fell out. When I put it back in and turned it on everything was normal. -My friend went to look at the pictures I took, but he's not the kind of person to delete my photos, nor does he know how to get to my notes to delete them. -He also doesn't know where the the stylus is so he couldn't have reset it, and I didn't reset it; it's impossible because it's always in my pocket, and it's the only thing in my pocket. -I tried to sync my phone with the computer to put the photos on my desktop which is when I found out there was nothing there. I used a different cable than the one the phone came with but I figured they had the same function.

Hi,
Firstly, start using the memory card to store stuff on as its the safest place, even if the phone resets, blows up, gets run over, chances are the memory card will survive. Also you have a second chance on a memory card, if you do delete something by accident as long as you dont write anything to it (and sometimes even if you do) things can be recovered with software.

Have you checked through the memory card in case you have been saving your stuff there anyway?

if you have any applications or customisations installed are they still there ok?

I would have a darn good look around with the explore function of active sync or install totalcmd (www.ghisler.com) and search for .jpg files (and whatever extension your notes use) to see if they are anywhere on the phone

Best of luck, I know its a nightmare when data goes walkabout.

How I can get copy of my all in box & sent item SMS from my htc Touch Diamond?

You may need to use third party softwares. The best I can think of is "Jeyo Mobile Companion". Do a search in google and please note that its NOT FREE. However they offer 14 days trial version so you can take backup for few days. If you need then you may purchase it.

HTC TOUCH HAS VERY LOW RINGER VOLUME

Hi,

I have the Touch also and love it. Its simple to turn up the volume. either using the button on the left side of the touch push up until the volume goes all the way up. You can also use the stylus pen and click on the icon that looks like a speaker in the upper toolbar. Then drag up the volume. If these things dont help choose a different ringer. Mine is extremely loud and yours should be too. Also consider updating the software.

HTC Diamond questions

Its because of the touch sensitive navigation pad (the thing that has the up down left right enter/ok controls). The 'rim' or circle of the 4-way pad is touch sensitive and is used to zoom in and out in messages browser and pictures. If it zooms in and out by it self for a few seconds after a call, then its just lag from the multiple times it touched your face, or it could be a problem with the touch sensor (if it takes much longer), in which case you would have to get the phone replaced if its still under warranty, or to the store you bought it if you still can.

Viewing photos on the htc touch diamond.

If you take lower resolution photos on the Diamond, especially photos for contacts, they aren't as big as the other photos, so you must zoom in for them to fill the whole screen. For that, simply do a half circle clockwise motion on the picture itself.

Also, if you took larger photos with the camera on it's side, you must turn it to it's side again so the picture goes back to landscape mode.
