The problem is probably overheating. The soldered joints have probably gone bad and need to be replaced. The console will need to be repaired.

Xbox 360 possibly overheating?

You can attach an intercooler at the back of the 360 and this will help keep cool

you will also need to do something called a reflow, we us a proper infra red reflow over which in turn re-seats the solder and rectifies these sorts of problems. if you simply just put some paste on your not solving the problem.

once reflowed the machine should work tip top again

if you run a search on google you should be able to find guides on reflowing your mainboard and it is possible to use a heatgun BUT is not so reliable.

During game play, game shuts off and two red rings appear/

its very possible your xbox is having overheating problems. I had the same issue with mine, and i had to send it back to microsoft 2 different times, but after that it worked fine. I would try sending it back to microsoft, and see what happens from there.

360 wont turn on

Hi there, This issue may be caused by your power supply and or console not getting good enough ventilation or air vents clogged with dust causing over heating. Check power supply and keep in wide open area same with console (not sitting on carpet). If over heating is the issue you may have warped your motherboard, what happens is the Graphics processing unit (GPU) and or Central processing unit (CPU) get extremely hot causing the mobo to warp and the solder becomes loose and break. Even the fan may be the culprit, the fan uses a lot of power and produces a fair amount of heat that can cause the system to over heat. Please contact microsoft and get system repair if problem persist.

Xbox 360 two red lights in left quadrant

well dust can accumilates in the wierdest ways.

try blowing the air holes with a compress air cans. or take it apart and clean the inside. dust can build up with 3 months of playing depends on your area if you have pets or smokers in the area, dust comes from all sorts.
so try keeping your XBOX360 cooled as possible and keep it cleaned.

i use a air compressor when cleaning mine i try to clean it like every 3-4 months depending on how much I play it.

So keep it clean also red lights could mean no video device connected too, so check your video / audio connector.

My 360 wont turn on!

Let it sit for a while and try again, it may have overheated. If that doesn't work try another outlet and double check your power connections; at the back of the system and the wall outlet.

If your still having problems, I hope your a good liar. Good luck!

Lights Flashing On Xbox 360 Controller

So the sytem is working but the controller isn't connecting? Try fresh batteries, try removing things that might interfere with the controller (cell phones, large metal things between the controller and the xbox, portable house phones, bluetooth devices), try another controller if possible (borrow one).

My console is beginning to suck

you can buy a disk cleaning set or you can take a damp cloth and wash the back of the disk, also make sure your console is sitting so that the disc insert is sitting horizontal
