Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

Hi I have purchased a Black & Decker Hidden-Bottle Water Cooler with bottom loading. As soon as I opened the box, it smelled really strong. I original thought is was just the sent of new. It has seen been 3 weeks and it still smells and water also tastes the same. I haven't cleaned it before usage (as it was indicated to have been sterilized and it was wrapped in plastic. I accidentally threw out the owners manual. I tried running almost all of the 18 litres of water through machine (hot and Cold) to remove the smell, but water still tastes the same. What can I do? Thanks

Immediately return the product and don't drink from it in the meantime. There should be no taste or smell.

If it's like my BD-S600 your motor is already burned out!! Same thing happened to me with this shredder after 3 months of minimal home use. I had to call them and pay $13 to send shredder back to them to have a new one sent to me, and I have already been on the phone with customer service due to problems with the new one after 5 minutes of use! Good luck to you; I know I will NEVER purchase a Black and Decker shredder again! My last shredder (a Brother) lasted 8 years with no problems and I really miss it!!

Bissell 9200-T ProHeat 2X will not spray I have gone through the priming process it will work for a few seconds and quit. I have had it open and checked a few tubes but not sure what to do next. This...

ARE THE TANKS SEATED PROPERLY AND THE AUTO-LOAD GASKETS
IN PLACE?
Check the bottom of the Water Tank and the Formula Bottle to make
sure each has a red (or black) auto-load gasket attached and facing outwards
and that the ventilation tube is not submerged as it allows air in so the solution
can flow.

I have the bissell littlegreen proheat pet, and every time we turn it on to use it smells REALLY bad.. we always clean out the dirty tank and clean what we can get to but it STILL smells! i need to know...

Don't have a solution to the whole odor problem. But my machine smells musty or moldy so I have taken the dirty solution tank and turned it upside down and shook it filled with detergent. You can see the white pipe, or that's what I call it open so additional water drains out. But a bigger problem with my machine occured about 3 weeks ago. I was using my machine and when I picked it up off the carpet there was a black liquid that had come from the bottom of the machine. Which is not good given I have white carpet. I contacted the Bissell Company and they had me send the machine to them and they provided a prepaid shipping label. Also the company send me a bottle of pet and stain remover to get the stain out. As of yet the stain has not been totally removed. A bit of advice so this doesn't happen to you is to put a towel under the machine when using. I say this because I'm not sure if it is connected to the bad smell and thinking it might be a black moldy liquid. Hope this helps.

Purchased ProHeat 7920 Po-Tech recon. Unable to use main brush as no water/cleanfluid. Belt drive is ok. Grateful advise location of fluid jets as not visable behind main brush. Turbo brush works well.

Make sure there is liquid in both the Tank-in-Tank and the SmartMix Bottle and check for spray through the upholstery hose. If the hose does not spray please check the following:

- Remove the belt access door and inspect the pump belt to ensure it is not broken, worn or stretched. You may also check the belt by turning on the power and watching the brush on the bottom of the machine. If the brush rotates the belt is not broken.

- Check for proper placement of the o-ring on the SmartMix Cap Insert (some o-rings are detachable and need to fit over the straw; others are molded to the cap).

- Check for liquid in the base of the machine where the SmartMix Bottle sits (SmartMix Reservoir). If there is no liquid in the reservoir, the neck on the SmartMix Bottle may be undersized, the cap will not make proper contact with the unit and the smart mix bottle will need to be replaced.

- Check for the black or red tank gasket on the SmartMix Bottle Cap and on the bottom of the Tank-in-Tank Assembly. If gasket is lodged in base of unit or has been lost, reattach gasket on auto-load or order new gasket if appropriate.

- Check the valves on the bottoms of the Tank-in-Tank and SmartMix Bottle to make sure water/solution will come through when the "x" valve is depressed. Bladder or SmartMix bottle may be empty or the valve may be blocked internally.

- Check if the small rounded window tabs on the top edge of the Floor Nozzle Window are locked in their mating slots on the base of the machine and not inadvertently lifting the tank up out of place.

The Bissell is not dispensing water or cleaning solution.... The silver & black spinner does not spin

Check the following with liquid in both tanks.

- Check to see if the machine will spray through the hose with the setting on tools. If it does, the pump is fine. Continue troubleshooting.
- Check for debris on spray tips. Clean them with a soft brush (on old tooth brush works well). The spray tips may be lifted out for easier access.
- Ensure the tank lid is properly attached to the bottom of the tank. To attach this properly, remove the Water Tank from the machine. Hook the front window onto the lip of the bottom container and then allow the window with lid to cover the complete tank. Secure the latch on the back of the bottom tank to the back of the tank lid. THE TANK LID CANNOT BE ATTACHED PROPERLY IF THE BOTTOM TANK IS ALREADY INSTALLED IN THE MACHINE.
- Check the bottom of the Water Tank and the Formula Tank to make sure each has a red auto-load gasket attached. Make sure the Water Tank and the Formula Tank are seated properly. Depress the x on this gasket to ensure this depresses and release back out. Liquid from the tank should dispense.
- Remove the handle completely and re-attach. Once the handle is re-attached, re-attempt to spray.

If the machine continues to not spray, check the following:

REMOVE THE COLLECTION TANK:
• Make sure the unit is set to water rinse
• Remove the smart mix bottle and fill it with water only
• Place the smart mix bottle into the collection tank reservoir
• Run the unit and try to spray. If the machine sprays, you will be able to see the water level decreasing in the smart mix bottle and you will need to replace the bottom tank. It is possibly warped.

If your machine continues to not spray, contact BISSELL Consumer Service at www.bissell.com

Black & decker parquet 1800w hepa h13 need

I'm not sure what bag your referring to. The only bag for this is the carrying bag. So I have to assume you mean one of the filters.
There are three filters for this vacuum.
 • Primary Filter.
 • Exhaust Filter.
 • Secondary Filter Element.
I have included a link to a site that carries the replacement parts and a diagram of the vacuum.
Hope this helps.
On another note If it doesn't help I really don't feel to bad because I'm in Detroit Michigan. And I'd rather have a dozen useless vacuums hanging out in New Zealand any day. :)
Find me a job there and I'll buy you a new vacuum. :)
