There are 2 password type first 1 is bios password if tell me about your bios password it prompt when u powerup follow procedure below

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"
It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.
Then it not want password.

And if u tell about windows password
Then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode then wait until it prompt for user passsword

then enter in administrator then if u able to enter then reset your password.
But if u set and forgot default administrator password then u should need winxp recovery disk.

SOURCE: how do i restore a toshiba Satellite A215-S5839 back to factory settings but thge hdd has a built in password

You my friend are up the creek without a paddle. How could you forget the Hard Drive Password? Oh I know, it's a stolen laptop. If you're smart enough to set a password on the hard drive, then you're smart enough to remember it. 99% of computers with passwords on the hard drive and the person that has the laptop doesn't know the password, either stole it or bought it hot off the streets. The real owner set the password to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data if it is ever stolen. They might have even set the password remotely once it was stolen. The laptop is useless unless the real owner puts the password in to unlock it.

Built in hdd password comes on login but I never wanted one

A HDD password is something that has to be set by someone, it cannot be set by itself. If when you turn on your computer you see a little blue box in the middle it asking for a password that is asking for a BIOS password. There is a known issue with the Satellite A135 and you should contact Toshiba at 1-800-457-7777 or contact your local ASP, you can find your local ASP at support.toshiba.com This is a known issue and Toshiba should cover this even if you are out of warranty until 2010.

Was able to shrt out the jopen1 and it lrt me into the bios but now it ask for hdd system password. to be exact it ask for the built in HDD password so now what. i can use some help here. any advice would...

Did you purchase this laptop?
If so ask that person what the password is.
There are no backdoor passwords and the password is stored on a chip on the hard disk, you can't crack it.
The password is to protect the hard drive from unauthorized access.
Otherwise you need to buy a new hard drive.
