Using a toshiba e-studio 190f fax machine, i can not recieve a fax or send a fax. I call the line and it just rings, can youhelp

Make sure you have the phone line plugged in, also make sure it's plugged into the LINE port on the machine. (Ext. is for a extension, i.e. secondary phone for manual dialing)
Also check that the wall jack is functional too, easiest way to do this is hook up a regular phone to the jack and if you get a dial tone you know it's okay.

If the wall jack is getting a dial tone and the line is plugged into the LINE port you may have a bad phone cable, try a different one.

I m ANIES PATHAN from KOTA rajasthan . I M import in toshiba mini N 205 laptop. my laptop is out of sirvice time and some motherboard problem. i m buying in new toshiba mini N205 motherboard.plz. suggest...

More information is needed. I think that the model number is incomplete. Please check model number again. I'm coming up with a "B" followed by the "N". Please see an example below.

Example:

NB205-N230

You will also need to identify the series number. For price and location of numbers, please see link below:

http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/Toshiba,Mini-Notebook,NB205-SP2923C,PLL23U-00CCL3,Laptop,System-Boards.aspx

Please recheck model number. For all the headache and expense this is NOT a wise idea. The motherboard is listed at about $350 average, and for that you can buy a whole new netbook.

I need to install a refurbished toshiba DKT2010-SD phone to an existing phone line. all our other phones are the same model, i thought it was as simple as just plugging it in, it isn't working, what...

The telephone system is propriatary so it needs a port out of the phone system to work. you can either use a standard single line telephone (like the one in your house) and plug it into the phone line or hook the phone line up to the phone system and hook the toshiba set to the system via the existing jack.

Do you know how to program a headset key on a Toshiba DKT phone ? I have added a headset via a Huee card but need a button to go off/on hook using the headset. System is DK56 Thanks

Your headset is incompatible then. Palntronics H51 is used normally and has a seperate box that has on and off and volume and mute. Also DIP switched must be set properly on the box.

Make sure u plug the phone line to the "LINE" port.

If no tone on the line, then u need to check with the telco...

Fax display screen always reads, "Auto receive". When attempting to fax, the busy light flashes. Busy light stops flashing for 30 seconds, then starts flashing again.
Above is the default settings for the fax.

NGB0 indicates signal error or line condition error.
U need to check the phone line. U can hook any single line phone to the phone line, check for tones without background noise.

Toshiba Strata DK280 Conference Phone

Are you talking about a special speakerphone that is not made by Toshiba? This would be a single line phone device not a proprietary Toshiba phone and you would need a special card in your system that can handle single line devices. You may already have one that has a free port on it.

However, it does sound like you would need to find help from a local phone system installation company. You cannot plug a single line phone into any phone port on your system. A special wire would need to be run just for that phone and the system would need to be re-programmed for that port. If you need a single line card it will be even more complicated.

Toshiba e-Studio 350 FAX Communication error

Are you still receiving faxes although you are unable to send? Or is it no send & no receive? When you hook a phone up are you able to connect with a # dialed from that phone. It's possible that the problem is the copiers NCU board- but it's rare that they fail & even more rare that it loses just the send portion. You'll want to be absolutly sure that it's not the phone line. If you are positive that the problem is not the phone line - try turning the machine off & unplugging the power cord for 30 minutes. Occasionally the NCU card will lock up & not function properly. Unplugging the machine for 30 minutes has worked for me in the past.
