Question about Dell DVD-rom DVD Drive
Welcome to Fixya.
Seems like you're having a software issue that prevents your system to read/run a disc when inside the operating system. I have included the official fix from Microsoft:
DVD Drive Troubleshooting
All you have to do is to click on "Run Now" and follow the on screen prompts - just remember to eject any CD that you may have inside the drive.
Please note that if this does not work, then the drive needs to be replaced. You may contact DELL for replacement options in case that happens.
Hope this helps and Thanks for using FixYa.
