Well Harry these mowers are all made by the same couple of companies. My Husqvarna 2148 was actually an AYP, and yours most likely is also. AYP makes the Craftsman mowers as well and there are a lot of similar complaints on here about those mowers doing the same thing. Now many of those type complaints about Craftsman mowers are resolved by tracking down a central relay that all the safety switches connect to in order to shut the engine down or keep it from starting. So were I you I would track the wiring on the safety switches down, and there is one on the PTO as well to keep you from starting it with the blades engaged, and see if there is not such a relay and it could be your bad boy.

I have a bosch jigsaw and the blade keeps slipping out of the roller blade guide after it runs normal for a few seconds. ive reset the blade and changed it.

Hi Rebecca, I hope this helps;
BLADE INSTALLATION
Set the blade orbit selector lever to position III.
Push blade change button downward as far as
it will go and turn the top handle three turns
counterclockwise (viewed from the top of the
tool).
Insert the blade into blade plunger at a 90°
angle to the cutting direction. With a slight
upward pressure, turn the blade teeth forward
(direction of cut) and guide the back of the
blade into the groove in the center of blade
roller guide. Pull gently down on the blade to
seat the blade tabs in the plunger.
With the blade in the proper position, turn top
handle clockwise until a noticeable "Click" sound
is heard, indicating that the blade is locked in
place.
Push blade change button upward to its
original position (flush with the top of the top
handle), and the saw is ready for use.
Removing the blade is essentially the reverse
of the installation procedure, however, take
note that once the blade change button is
loosened, gently push the blade upward to
release the blade tabs from the plunger.

As soon as I engage the blades the engine stops this has only just happened and it has been working fine until now you can start and drive it butnot cut This is a countax c600h thanks

Sounds like your seat switch may be defective not allowing you to run while the blades are engaged..it is acting like you got off the mower with the blades running....try temporarily bypassing it wire a piece of wire or paper clip..just disconnect it and put the wire ends in the connector ..if it is bad the mower will run with the seat empty and the blades running....CAUTION THIS IS JUST TO TEST IT..IT IS A SAFETY DEVICE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED...GOOD LUCK..

While I was cutting grass the Engine shut down. Pulled the brake up. Push the PTO back down to shut the blades down. I started the engine, engine runs perfect.

try replacing the battery most with an electric clutch PTO have to have a really strong battery as the alternator system is not strong enough by itself

Craftsman ZTS 7500 dies when engage blades or when engage transmission

check the "kill switch" they are usually located in the seating area. it senses for pressure or seat angle and will kill the mower if nobody is sitting on the mower. Good Luck

I started the mower but the blades will not turn. I shut it off and was able to manually turn the blades by hand. I also was able to turn the belt wheel under the engine and have it turn the blades. ...

Most all riders have a safety seat switch now and they do malfuction alot. They are under the seat and are ez to replace most of the time. First look for a wire that is grounding due to rubbing a sharp object. That can be fixed with black tape

Good luck!!!

Serviced my riding lawnmower runs great. but when I put in drive it dies out. Also when I engage blades it dies out. No problems last summer. It won,t stay running when I do these two steps

Probably the seat safety switch. If it's not activated (from your weight on the seat) the engine is killed when you put it in gear, or engage the blades. Lift up the seat and check the switch - wires on tight? switch tightly mounted? You can take the switch out and tape it in the pushed-in position to test things. If that doesn't let the mower run, the switch itself is probably bad, but it could also be a connector that knocked loose when you serviced the mower. Check wires and connectors. Good luck!

My mower blades disengage when operating.

Not sure of your question, but if you mean, they start when you flip the switch and then disengage but the switch stays up.. you need to check two things. (1) The out put of your alternator, read the battery with a volt meter before you start it, then start up the engine and read the voltage again should be a higher reading with the engine running. 12.4 vdc with the engine off - 13.7 vdc with it running. (just an example). Next will be your seat switch. There is a switch under the seat if you are not sitting in the seat the blades should turn off. so the switch could be out of its socket, or broken.

Mtd 17.5 will not start

Riding mower have three safety switches. One under the seat, one under the clutch and one on the blade lever. Make sure all are making contact as the button tip can get worn after many uses. These can be replaced. One trick you can try before that..
Sit on the mower and pull the blade engagement lever back further than necessary and hold it in that position while trying to start it. This may work as it puts more pressure on the safety switch button and makes contact possible.
