Question about HP Photosmart 945 Digital Camera
There is Sony CCD in you camera. I had the same problem (HP has no solution to this problem). I bought the new Sony CCD and put it in my HP. The camera works perfect now. :-)

If your 100% sure its the ccd and you have talented enough fingers for the job, maybe buy a faulty one off ebay or similar and use one to fix the other.
I am not familiar with this particular model but most CCD's are on a releasable ribbon cable, just take care not to get the sensor dirty or loose the green IR filter when you remove it.
a good way of keeping it clean is when you get to the critical part (swapping the ccd) place the cameras in a clear plastic bag with your hands through the opening...
best of luck
