You may have a lid switch not making contact everytime, unplug lid switch and jump switch, if can't remember the colors of the wires, just don't try the green with white tracer, that's ground

Roper washer RAX4232PQO doesn't agitate or spin

It sounds like you may have a broken motor coupling. This is a common problem that usually occurs through normal wear and tear. Replacement couplers are more resilient and resist breaking much better. If the washer will fill, will not agitate or spin, but will still drain, these are the symptoms of a broken motor coupling. The accompanying noise of the motor engaging and a rattling/grinding sound is also a common symptom. This is a very simple and inexpensive repair. The following link explains step-by-step how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385252-replacing_motor_coupling_whirlpool_top

The part number is included in the link I provided. You can purchase a replacement on line at appliancepartspros.com for about $11.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Roper is manufactured by Whirlpool and uses Whirlpool parts, so these instructions will apply.

Repalced the coupling and now wont drain

sounds like the motor is locking up and tripping the overload....does it take a while before it will start again.then do the same thing and do you hear a faint click right when it stops? i would remove motor and see if the shaft spins freely.it should not be tight.

Roper washer stopped spinning

Your direct drive coupling on the motor is broken and must be replaced.

Roper washer will not spin

Check the coupling between the motor and gearcase carefully. If it is good, you'll nees to replace the gearcase. Hope this helps!

I OVERLOADED THE WASHER AND NOW IT WILL NOT DRAIN OR SPIN

your washer doesnt have a belt, it is a direct drive with a coupling on the motor, so that is not likely your problem.
i would look to see if the lid switch is broken, when the switch wont work it wont spin or drain. if the coupling is broken it wont agitate or spin, but will drain the water.
just look under the top and see if the switch is just hanging loose. it has 2 screws holding it to the cabinet and a wiring harness that goes to the control panel.
