Lost wireless connection

Have lost wireless connection and am unable to re establish it I've been havinga continuous problem staying connected to my WLAN. I get connected but then shortly after disconnected. My laptop doesn't seem to be able to keep me connected. Everytime I reconnect my firewall needs to be turned on again. I can connect to other wifi points fine...coffee shop, frien's house, work...but at home where I have Verizon FIOS (other PCs and laptops in my home don't have the problem) router.

    New wireless access point. We are approx 10-15 users. We connect, and then lose connection. We get a message saying "Limited or No Connectivity" message and cannot re-connect unless the router is re-booted. We all re-connect, only to lose it again. The connection may last 2 hours or 2 days, eventually, you go down. The log for the Orinico shows no outages prior to re-boot. Had to re-boot 9 times in a weekend. There about to tear everything out, as the owner is fed up (it's in a RV park). The ISP and company that install the WLAN are finger pointing...

    Same problem, ZyAir G-1000 v2 wireless access point. Connect fine, then time-out but can't reconnect without rebooting the wireless access point. I have 4 of these and they all do the same.

Do one thing right clik on my computer and choose manage option after that services in that service
in that wireless zero configuretion will start after then go for the right clik on my network place in that propertities
wireless network icon in that right clik and properties .tcp/ip protocol clik and properties
give the obtain automatically.

You might try WPA, or get a different Adapter.

Wireless on hp ze4933 not working


Thanks for choosing FixYa Steve and welcome. I need to know what we are working with. Do you have wifi, cable, or a card for your internet access? Have you installed it yet on your computer? You have to set the connection up before you can have access to the web.

Your problem may appear from a not properly enabled WLAN card.
Make sure the Wi-Fi swithc is in ON position and on your laptop keyboard try the FN+F8 combination to have displayed the wireless card status. The WLAN card has to be ENABLED to be able to connect to the Internet. The combination done will make appear on your display a window with some options available; choose that option that enables your wireless card.
Also check in your computer's DEVICE MANAGER if your WLAN card is working properly. To do so follow these simple steps:
1. START and click on SYSTEM;
2. in SYSTEM option click on DEVICE MANAGER;
3. on DEVICE MANAGER option go at NETWORK ADAPTERS and see if there your wireless card is indicated and it shows that it is working PROPERLY;
4. if an UNKNOWN DEVICE is indicated then try to find the right driver for you notebook model and WLAN card model;
5. install the driver then REBOOT and recheck in DEVICE MANAGER if your WLAN card is displayed properly this time.

My psp won't connect to the internet. it says, a commection error has occured. a connection to the access point could not be established. check the security settings for the network and try again.


First of all check if your wireless router requires (WEP KEY) to establish a connection then you will have to put same (WEP KEY) in PSP WLAN security setting and if your wireless router is set without (WEP KEY) then in PSP WLAN security setting it should be set to None. kindly refer to the following image.3782ff8.png

I cannot browse the internet. i am connected


Use this Tip as check list for your connection.
Then:
  1. connect your PC to router using a LAN cable and be sure you can browse
  2. connect to you router config page as admin and disable your security on Wlan, create a Unique SSID name for your WLAN.
  3. stay connected with Lan Cable and check if you see the just created WLAN (= unique SSID)
  4. Connect to Wlan using same parameters (no security)
  5. as soon you are sure connection established (browse Net) disconnect LAN cable to check reliability.
  6. reconnect Lan cable and reinstall security protection: WPA + PSK, TKIP passphrase, NO broadcast. and match router settings with PC settings.
  7. retry every step if not successfull until ypu master the environment.

Notebook won't connect to network


1) Verify if Wi-Fi WLAN interface of your notebook is OK.
1a) Check whether HW switch is ON and the wireless system service is running.
1b) Switch on the WLAN Access Point (router) SSID broadcasting.
1c) Scan WLAN networks by the notebook. Can you see your home WLAN? If not, there is HW or SW problem in your wireless adapter probably. If WLAN is visible, continue by next steps.

2) Remove all WLAN security on both sides (AP and notebook): Authentication = none/open, encrytption = none.
3) Activate DHCP server in the router and set the dynamic IP assigning on WLAN notebook interface.
4) Select your home WLAN SSID in the list and try to connect.
5) Wait and check status. Is WLAN connected? Does obtain the notebook an IP address?
6) In success case set the WLAN security.

Unable to connnect wirelessly thru gprs phone.


You need to connect first one system with the phone. have the proper software of the phone installed on the system and your system should detect it as a modem. you may need to contact your network provider for assistance. Once you have establish a connection on the first sytem and it culd browse, that is the time that you need to create an ad hoc under create a new connection. once you have established an ad hoc, let your other system detect it wirelessly and try to connect to it.
By the way GPRS is similar to dial up so if you have 2 systems online it is just like splitting your 56k connection speed and it could give you no browse at times.

try to turn on the wireless bottom on your front-panel.

if that not work. go the connections and check if wireless connection is deactivated.
