Question about Go Software Inc. PCCharge Pro (100PROL0000) for PC

PC Charge Pro How do I clear the balance? I've voided all sales to get sales zero on the batch inquiry/settle pages; unfortunately the balance still says $70 so it won't close.

PC Charge Pro is loaded on an old laptop that is very slow, so I decided to load it on to our new computer. I didn't think to look up info on moving to new computer. I just stuck the original disc in the new computer, loaded it and it looked fine, so I entered a $70.00 credit card and told it to batch. It gave me error number 91 "object variable or with block variable not set." I hunted around HELP and couldn't figure it out, realized there were different instructions for installation on a new compter, unistalled the program. And then went back to the old computer to enter the other credit cards I had. I've monkeyed around for days with it and then decided to void everything (since nothing batched). I've got it down to sales of 0 but the balance still shows $70. Looking at different reports, daily credit card detail, for instance, the $70 doesn't show but if I look at some other report, it lists the $70 as Transaction #1, Batch 46. I can't figure out how to delete it or reverse it. Guess I shouldn't have unistalled on the other program. I just want to get it cleared out and then run a new batch on the old computer. After my money is no longer in limbo, then I'll try reloading the program on the new computer.

It took everything, gave me approval codes but when I went to batch said discrepency between balance and sales. And there was, the sales showed only the cards I entered on the old computer but the balance showed the extra $70 entered from the new computer.

There is no longer PC Charge Pro on the new computer. I unistalled it since it gave me the odd error message and I discovered different installation instructions for moving the program from one computer to the next. I didn't void the $70 card I had entered before I uninstalled. Since I hadn't batched it, I wasn't expecting a problem.

Then when I tried to batch from the old computer, my sales were all the ones I entered on the old computer plus the one $70 from the new computer. As I voided sales, the $70 discrepency stayed. now with sales at 0, balance is still $70. Wonder if I should install the program on the new computer following the help directions for transferring to a new computer? Then uninstall on the old one. Do you think MY computer is holding the $70 so there is no record of it at PC Charge pro or the bank (so that uninstalling from my computer would deal with it) or do you think the balance is hanging out elsewhere? If it transferred from the new computer to the old computer, it did it offsite and then came back to me. Too bad profanity is prohibited cause that's where I'm at with it. Thanks for thinking about it.

BAnk says it's a PC Charge Pro issue and they, the bank, can't help me. PCCharge Pro is happy to help me for $229. I've never used FixYa before but $10 sounded better to try.

The only place it shows is under Batch -- Inquire -- Item Review. There it shows up as transaction #1 with the credit card number, approval code, etc.

Is it okay for me to try another expert? for a new perspective?

    Thanks for your help,

    Marta
$229 is b/c they dont' support this version anymore, so they want to sell me the current version plus a one year tech support contract. they refuse to help without it and I'm locked in with the bank/credit card processor through May 2011.

    Just want another perspective.
    Thanks,

Have you tried deleting the .Dat file from the root directory? If not, you can give it a try. When you open the "C:" drive, then "Program Files" then "PcChargePro..." [the name of the PC charge, i guess it's PC charge Pro], and when you look inside the PC charge component files, you'll see a file with the extension .Dat (a movie file format), simply cut and paste it somewhere like on your desktop or to another folder and try again. Run the PcCharge and check if it still show in the program.

This is all what I know about this program.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

That must be coming from somewhere, does it indicate what the $70 is tied to?

Let me know and I can help for sure...

Wow that is very strange, so this $70 balance is appearing on your old computer? Even though you entered it through the new computer? Just verify that, it must be doing some kind of online or network collaboration between the two... but you should be able to remove it from the old computer still.

Let me know that that is the case, if the $70 is only on the new computer I can definitely get that fixed easily, but if it transferred from the new computer to the old one... that is quite a bit trickier.

Thanks, please clarify and I will know what to do :)

I definitely understand your frustration here, that is so bizarre. Is there some central place you can call for PC Charge Pro that can just delete it for you? It can't hurt to try and transfer it from the old to the new the proper way and see if you can access that $70 transaction on the new one. But it really makes no sense that you can't access it on the old one. It almost sounds like a server side glitch, something going on with wherever the data "syncs" to remotely, thinking that transaction still exists even though it really does not.

So is there some place that manages the data for you, does PC Charge Pro have some "cloud" out there that holds all the data so it syncs between all your machines?

PC Charge Pro wants $229 to help you?! What on earth! Wow! I think it's their problem to begin with, something on their servers that is holding that $70 charge out there. From what you can see there is nothing that lets you view the $70 charge?

Sure, feel free to try another any time you want. I feel there should be a way to go into that transaction and delete it, but I'm sure you have exhausted the possibilities of doing that...

How do I fix a Batch Erro QD-621-0108??

QD Error-basically is saying... quit duplicating. there is a transaction in the batch that is not allowing the batch to settle and it is failing, call your TSYS provider call center to have them look at the batch, either take out/ void- the transaction that is failing or causing the problem and then try to settle or have them force the batch thrueclear the data base and reset the batch number. This should fix the problem

What does must settle TSYS MEAN WONT TAKE CARD

This means that the batch file needs to be settled before more transactions can be made. Do a batch download and this should solve your problem. If you need more help call. Frank (775)338-6634

The server charged the wrong card

if you are asking what you should do to get the correct sale on the correct card and remove the sale from the wrong card.
if you have not settled your terminal or batched out, you can simply void the card transaction that is wrong. if it was a debit it would be a refund, if a credit card sale- you can void.
if you have the card number for the sale that you should have ran, then simply run that card as a new sale.
if you don't have the card, you are pretty much out of luck unless you know the person who holds the card.

We have several voided sale invoices and want to find out what the invoices were originally for. If we pull them up by their number, they are all zero. Which makes sense as they were voided. How do we...

Im trying to find out the same think. We recently discovered a waitress was stealing by voiding cash sales. So far the only way we've been able to determine what was voided is by doing a "operation exceptions" report (which i think would only work if under permissions you have that "delete sent items" and "void invoices" have the "Log as exception" checkbox ticked) and then mathcing that up by time to the kitchen slips.

If you find a better solution, please share it.

Need to do a credit card refund for RPE

If you can recall invoice and you have not yet batched/settled your cards, just void the invoice and it will refund the amount to the card.

If you have settled the cards and cannot recall invoice, ring up a sale to a non-inventory item, do a price change to the negative amount of sale, and then charge this to the card. It will refund this amount to the card.

Make sure security settings will not let your employees ring up negative amounts or they could start refunding to their own card.

Proccessed incorrect amount on credit card

If you catch the error right after you run it, do a void rather than a credit. A credit could takes weeks to show up for a customer and they won't be happy with you.

Received an error message at close out RB00546E... Tech support tells me that my comuter operating system is too old to contract. Tell me to upgrade. Have a new computer coming Windows7. In the meantime,...

Would probably need the the entire error. The RB simply stands for Rejected Batch when you are trying to settle (I'm guessing with Vital/TSYS). the 00546 is the transaction number. This looks like a rather large batch. The transaction in question is the 544th transaction (the first two records to go over in the batch contain account information and your company information. So always subtract 2 from the number shown).

Without seeing the rest of the error, I can't say exactly what is wrong with the transaction. There should be a 3-4 digit number after the E in your response from the processor.

At any rate, depending on your version of PCCharge, there is a Batch Editor is included. It will be in (C:\Program Files\Active-Charge) for Payment Server or (C:\Program Files\PCCW) for Pro, and is named BatchUtility.exe. This will allow you to quickly view the batches and edit the transactions you need.

If Vital/TSYS is your only merchant account, then your batch will be named Visa1.xxx.Since it is now a rejected batch, it will be called Visa1.PCS (A regular batch should be Visa1.ENC for encrypted. Unless you are on a really old version). You should be able to open the Batch Utility, Open the bad batch by clicking find "Indeterminate" button, find the 544th transaction (if it's corrupt, you'll be able to find it rather quickly), and void it out. Keep in mind that this is not the same as voiding through the inteface, it is merely taking the transaction out of this particular batch, not voiding the transaction authorization. If it's a sale, you're authorization code will still be good (assuming it hasn't been over 30 days since you last settled). If it's a credit or void, there will not be an authorization number to worry about, and you can just dump the transaction altogether.

Make sure to take notes on the transaction so that you can run it as a post-auth (if it is a sale) after your batch is accepted. Once the offender is removed, you should be able to go back into PCC and settle as normal. You will get the message about "all indeterminate batches need to be closed first, blah blah blah", click "ok", check your totals and then attempt to process the settlement.

Good Luck and hope this helps.

RB INV DATA 0001 Error PC Charge Pro Version 5.1.0

The best solution is to have tech support remove the offending transaction from the batch, and then settle the batch. Since it is just a pre-auth, you'll need to run a post-auth to complete the transaction anyway, so it's not a big deal in this case. In the case of it being an actual sale transaction, you would have to remove the transaction from the batch, and then re-run it through PCCharge as a post-auth.

If you don't want to deal with VFI's tech support (I wouldn't either), then depending on your version, you may have more options. If it's a later version 5.7.x and up, there is a batch utility that will allow you to remove the transaction by yourself. If you are using an older version that does not include the batch manager utility, you could rename the batch file (in case you need it later) and in the case of 2 transactions, re-run them in directly in PCCharge as post-auths. Verify that the correct transactions are in in the batch, and then settle as normal. (just as an FYI, pcc tech support will not rebuild any batches with less than 50 transactions. So it might not be a bad idea to learn the batch manager and/or renaming files if you are sticking with PCC).

This is most likely cause by a crupt transaction or a transaction that is not aloud stuck inside the terminal. Once you batch out contact your processing comapnyask them if they see you current batch you jut settled. If so they will need to clear the the terminal and up the batch number. Just make sure all of your sale are settled with your processign comapny before you go ahead and clear the terminal.
