Question about RTO Ho Herpa Freightliner Truck Tractor

Open Question

Freightliner trouble codes for electrical truck. Trouble code ECU 128. When engaging master and pto switch the check engine light comes on. At random times with this light on, we loose throttle control of the foot pedals which operate terex boom with man bucket. Then also the odd time after dissengaging master and pto switch and putting truck into drive position, we loose throttle control right at the steering wheel while driving. When this happens a check engine light and code ECU 128 appears on dashboard.

Check engine light stays on. changed oxygen sensor, pcv valve, coolant sensor, switched out PROM chip, and cannot get a code to blink. replaced all hoses coming off carb. smog pump and egr valve been...

what you could start with is checking to see what trouble codes are being logged for this vehicle...if the engine light stays on, it means the ecu is registering a fault......by the means of a trouble code...now the trouble code doesnt tell you how to fix it, but it does give you the direction to go down...judst wondering if you have tried to obtain the trouble codes

HAve a 1999 sonata the car when we accelerate car has a loss of power also the check engine light goes on with code p1520. what could it be

There is NO SUCH CODE as P1520... However, there is a Code as P1529 - TCM MIL request to ECM This is a transmission trouble code.
Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on. You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

Yep!... take it back to the mechanic and tell him/her to recheck the system (there's no such DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) as "bad electrical connection"... somebody's pulling your leg!

YOUR PROBLEM MAY NOT BE THE FUSE TO THE E.C.U. TRY THIS. 1. TURN ON THE KEY AND LOOK FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (USUALLY YELLOW) AND THE STOP ENGINE LIGHT (USUALLY RED) WHEN YOU FIRST TURN ON THE KEY THEY SHOULD COME ON. AFTER ABOUT 5 SECONDS OR SO THEY SHOULD GO OFF. WAIT!!!!! ANOTHER 5 SECONDS AND SEE IF THEY COME ON. IF NOT TRY STARTING THE ENGINE.

IF THESE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON WHEN YOU TURN ON THE KEY THEN CHECK THE WIRE THAT LEADS FROM THE POSITIVE SIDE OF ONE OF THE BATTERIES AND CONNECTS TO THE ECU.
IF THIS IS LOOSE IT WILL CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. THERE ALSO MAY BE AN INLINE FUSE ON THIS WIRE TO PROTECT THE ECU CHECK THE FUSE.

IF THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND CAME BACK ON THEN YOUR ECU IS SHOWING A FAULT CODE. WITH THE ENGINE OFF AND THE KEY ON, PUSH THE ENGINE OVERRIDE BUTTON AND TAKE A PEN AND PAPER AND WRITE DOWN THE FAULT CODES. THE WAY YOU GET THE CODES IS BY WATCHING AND COUNTING THE NUMBER OF FLASHES OF THE YELLOW LIGHT AND THE RED LIGHT. FOR INSTANCE IF THE YELLOW FLASHES 5 TIMES AND THE RED FLASHES 3 THEN YOURE GETTING FAULT CODE 53. FIND YOUR CODE AND CALL THE SERVICE DEPOT AT THE DEALER AND FIND OUT THE DEFINITION OF THIS CODE.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST CHECK THE COOLANT AND ENGINE OIL BECAUSE THESE TWO THINGS WILL SHUT DOWN AN ELECTRONIC ENGINE FASTER THAN ANYTHING. ESPECIALLY IF A SENSOR HAS GONE BAD SUCH AS COOLANT LEVEL SENSOR OR OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. MY EMAIL IS JAMESFWALKERJR2006@YAHOO.COM HOPE I WAS ABLE TO POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM.
