Best place would be an authorized PIONEER repair shop , it would be difficult to get a generic replacement that will work with your unit. Before doing anything check this link and go to CONTAC US for assistance . hope this helps & please rate thanks AJ

SOURCE: 55HDS69 Power Supply problem

I have found that the power supply is usually good, it's the other boards that tell it to shut down within a second. There are input called Vsego and VSago that tell the power supply to stay on.

SOURCE: Monitor Does Not turn On...

My Friend you have a problem in the power supply, you try voltage check, check if you have output in the b+. if nothing, there is a regulator in power section, for example ic401, you look at the board you will see all the components section of ic401, all the capacitor have 4 for example c423 or resistor r423 like that one. You check all the section of the power supply. Hope I help you. bye

If you have the part number to the power supply you can most likely get a replacement at Allied Electronics online. They are very good at helping you find the right one as well.

Wharfedale lcd3210af has started to switch off after 5mins... It will go straight back on when you switch it on and is a fantastic picture but goes back off after the 5mins again ???

Hello,
does it turn of precisely after 5mins each time you turn it on? If yes, then there is every possibility that the TV timer is set to 5mins and when it gets to that time, the TV will eventually turn of itself.
But the TV doesn't turn off in exactly 5mins all the time, then it is having a power related problem in as much as the TV turns off on it's own.
The problem is consistent with overheating on the power supply board of the TV.
The power supply board of the TV has few capacitors and IC. If any of these IC's gets short or become weak, it can cause the TV to turn off on it's own.
When current passes from electric outlet to the power supply board of TV. The current also goes to the weak/faulty part, then the current stops or slow and the board overheats and TV shuts off on it's own.
This is a common problem faced by many other users too. To solve this issue, check the power supply board and read it with a meter and continuity tester, in order to detect the faulty part and replace the faulty part on the board which is short due to which power supply board.
It's a bit technical job but yes its not at all a costly repair to do or get it done by the technician.
You can buy this part at any Fry's or Radioshack store or you can order them online at vendors like "mcmelectronics.com"(look for electrolytic capacitors). After replacing these capacitor (capacitors) most likely the normal operation will be restored. Or you can buy a refurbished complete power board to save you some stress.
If this task is too technical for you, you can call a family or friend who has the ability to assist you (two heads are better than one).
Good luck.

When I press the power button on my 42MF521D/37 Magnavox LCD, the green power button flashes but it never turns on. I have also noticed that the backlight on the screen flashes too. I have pulled the power...

This problems the power supply board still have more parts are dead, than just those capacitors are noticeable are dying leakages capacitors are bulging ups.U must have more electronic skills and equipments like a Scope to check those transformers input and output reading and a Capacitors reader tester to icesolate to check for more of those capacitors u think are good, but they have short in it,give out less micro feret and voltages as they should to the power supply board.Tries wesite like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

My wharfedale lcd42f1080p just went bang when plugging it in!!

Sounds like something else in the power supply. The surge inrush current could have blown the bridge rectifier. (device which changes AC to a pulsating DC for the power supply). You may need to have the power supply serviced or replaced.

Tweeter "drive" out on wharfedale svp - 15

Hi bertsteenrt

Can you check the resistance of the HF driver(tweeter). If it is open it will need a new diaphragm. Most of these speakers use a lamp to act as protection for the HF driver. Sometimes these lamps fail. You will need to pull the horn out of the cabinet to check, and the rear connection panel off to get access to the crossover where the lamp is located. Get back to me here and I can talk you through fault finding the speaker.

TV sounds like power up for few seconds then goes off

You have a short somewhere causing the power supply not to start. Most likely a shorted horizontal output transistor and maybe a flyback transformer which caused the transistor to short. It would have to be checked out by a technician to find out exactly happened. Stargazer
