Not all customer service is equal.
Some are great, some are very bad.
My only advice is to do a little google for any company you intend to buy products from.
If you feel you have been treated very bad, there are customer advice organizations that can offer help, the Citizens Advice Bureau . in the uk are very good

1. Give a fact such as: I am confident and like to be with people.
2. Say something about the company that you like.
3. What are you good at that would benefit the company while you are working there?
4. Are you a hard worker? Do you go to work every day? Are you a good sales person? typer? with numbers?
5. You could say: I don't like to work, but if you must work, as most of us do, what can you say about your attitude about it.

Repair person has replaced compressor twice in last 30 days. Now the frig works but it sounds like a toilet running. Nothing leaks out, it is within the compressor. Authorized dealer told us too...


First of all, if you had service performed on your appliance, the company that did it should stand behind it. You are the customer and have the right to expect competent and appropriate service.

Manual for an ASUS X58Lseries laptop


Most contacts for getting a service manual free are going to be extremely difficult because ASUS has decided that any manual it puts out there is copywrited so they will go after illegal copies on the web. You would have to do a search for a paid manual on the web or through ASUS service. I no longer work on these units as well as sony because of their attitude toward the consumer.

Lack of support


I have solved this problem by deciding to never buy an RCA product again. The attitude of customer service is horrible, and if you think I will pay you to give me a solution to a problem that is clearly one of shotty workmanship, you can think again. One defective clock I can understand, 3 is outrageous and being asked to pay for an answer is insulting. No wonder so many businesses are going under these days.

I believe that that depends on who you listen to. Any manufacturer will have some angel to exploit and be over the competition in some way. I don't know about either of these brands you mentioned but I assure you marketing is marketing. It boils down to the one you have the most confidence in. Some people believe the only way to compare is price. It is but 1 factor. Sometimes it may be the only factor. I urge you to consult with a contractor that is a seller of either of the brands and see how you feel about the contractor. This is the most important factor because if you have trouble he will be the one you need to turn to for help.

His attitude towards you and helping you will steer you to the better value.

If these are just window units or systems YOU are going to install it will boil down to the dealer with the best attitude and price. Buying by price alone is not intelligent and because your asking before you buy you want knowledge so your looking to become more intelligent. Therefore the attitude of the seller is important because you have to have confidence in his product and his involvement after the sale in case of trouble. Warranty's are usually the same. But may be slightly different when applied.

When shopping:
Dependability (length of time the product or company has been in business)
Friends or others recommendations. (Always consider that the recomendations of others are most likely from their own expierance and you may or may not have a like expierance).
Attitude of who your may buy from
Resiloution of problems if any, (ask questions like: if it doesnt do this or that how do you resolve problems?)
Availability (in stock or have to order and length of time to receive)
Parts in stock for repairs
Manufactured in (if it is a ways out it may take a while to get a replacemnt part)
Warranty's (in home or take in, any freight do on parts?)
Local service
then Price

This may give you the confidence for you to decide which one of these products to choose from. Assuming each is going to perform adequately these are the other factors.
