Question about HP LaserJet P2015dn Printer

I have a hp p2015 printer; when i sent a job to the printer, the green ready light blinked but nothing was printed; i then switched off and on the printer, but the roller didn't spin when the printer was switched on again. the online green light was on as normal however. then i sent another job to the printer, again the green light blinked but nothing was printed; the most weird thing was that the roller didn't spin when i turned the printer on again. is there a problem with the roller or something else ? is it expensive or difficult to replace the roller ?

It sounds like the management module in the printer not even attempting to spool the print job and start the rollers. It is fixable but is BOTH expensive and difficult to do, nearly impossible for someone that has never done it before. In fact it is far more expensive than just replacing the printer. Sadly this is what I recommend you do, that printer has failed for sure :(. The good news is that the latest model of that printer is pretty darn inexpensive online here.. only $135 and has free shipping and no tax.     Ok, and that fixed the device? That is very unusual, if it was a stuck roller usually you would get a different series of blinks of the printer itself. So cleaning it fixed it? Well if that's the case then that's great news!

Cancel print job with a linux operating system


HI,
You've sent a print job to your printer and the green light is blinking, but the printer is not printing. The light blinks for a very long time.
The blinking light indicates that the printer is recieving your print request and will print shortly. If the document you are attempting to print is very large or contains many graphics or images, the printer must spool this data into its memory before printing. This can take quite a bit longer than usual. PDF files are notorious for taking longer than other document types.

In this case, it is best to wait a period of time before taking action. Give the printer 10 minutes and see if it prints.

If it does not print within this window of time, do the following.

1. In the bottom right corner of your screen, you will see a small printer icon. Double click on this icon to open the printer job menu.
2. You will see your print job located there, with other information, including its status.
3. Select the job by right clicking on it and select Cancel.
4. The job should cancel itself.
5. Unplug the printer, removing all power and leave it sit for a couple of minutes.
6. Plug the printer back in and allow it to go through its start up phase until the "Ready" indicator light is solid. This indicates that the printer is ready to recieve jobs.
7. You may now attempt to print again.

Hi,
May be cable loose or heavy dust available in printer that`s why your printer not proper response it. Or may be printer main board damage position so i suggest you contact it printer technician or checking it, which area damage.

Hi there,
It seems that " Print on both sides (Manually)" is selected in printing options., when you want to print any document Go to file Print > select printer and click properties and disable the Manual printing option in device settings.
You should be able to get printing without errors,
if the option is not checked then check for the default paper tray,
save the settings and reboot your laptop/desktop and restart printer as well so that settings should work properly and any given command gets clear from memory, If these all settings are ok, Uninstall the printer driver and download the latest version drivers from HP website and install see links below

This HP printer is comes with the USB cable. To install the printer software, you need to install the USB driver compatible to your printer and then it will ready to print.

The green power button blinks continuously and the printer will not print any type of job. The last job printed was very clear so I don't think I need a new ink cartridge. The status of the printer shows...


ya u need now inkjet cartridge or ur printers card dead 1st chack put black cartridge in ur printers and color cartridge out then see green light blinks if blinks black cartridge out and color cartridge put in the printers then u know thanls

Are you able to print a test page from the printer directly? if you are then check to see if the printer is set to Offline mode, if it's ok the I suggest you un-install the printer driver and re-install it again.

Please open the manual feed and try to print using manual feed if you are able to print fine using manual feed that check pickup roller of Tray 2.
First of try to print using Manual feed and let me know if it is printing from Manual feed or not.

Not printing,attention (4th)light is also blinking


THERE IS A KNOWN ERROR WITH THE P2015 PRINTERS WHERE THEY NEED TO GO BACK UNDER WARRANTY .
THE EPROM ON THE FORMATTER IS BAD HP HAS BEEN TAKING THESE BACK AND REPLACING THE FORMATTER.
