F10 Motor Control Unit (MCU) heat sink thermal trip If the thermal protector on the MCU heat sink gets too hot, it will open the thermal protector on the heat sink which will stop motor functions and an F10 will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check for Proper Installation, verify the unit is not located near a source of heat and has proper ventilation.
• Check Wire Harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check the Drive system for any worn or failed components
• Check MCU
• Check Motor

Replace failed component.

Can oven cleaning products be used in a Whirlpool "Steam" Clean oven. My oven did not come clean, baked on stuff did not come clean.

Yes they can be used, but rinse them off and run the oven at 450F to after to burn off any residue. 10 minutes of oven time should do.

What does it mean when F-10 shows on oven display frigidaire range

Good Afternoon friend, thanks for your post!

Based off the information you have provided your range is displaying an "F10" error code. "F10" typically means that your wall oven has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating).

Sometimes resetting your appliance can correct this issue but in the case that it does not and you still receive that error code I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose and repair. At that time you could be having an issue within RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) sensor probe or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) having a professional come out would reduce the cost of unnecessary parts. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Lg lre30453sw f3 code

An F3 code is usually a bad oven sensor code. Try turning off the breaker to the unit for 10 minutes, then restarting. Might just have been a glitch. If it clears and stays away, you just had a glitch. If it clears and comes back, or doesn't clear at all it will be a sensor needing replacement.

The oven has a code that comes on of F-10 and F-30.My husband replaced the circuit board and then this started.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Both error codes are to do with a runaway temperature or not sensing temperature correct. Make sure the oven sensor is plugged into the board correct or one of the wires wasn't damaged.Since the control was replaced i would make sure it was wired correct. The oven sensor or rtd probe is the short rod coming through the back oven wall in the top section. If all the wiring is correct and plugged in correct the probe is shorted or the relay on the control.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

What is the se code that comes up on the oven, and it wount work? How can we fix this error code?

Hi longislandlu,

SE stands for "Sensor Error". This appears if the keypad is held down for longer than 10 seconds but if not held down this means that your humidity sensor has shorted and needs to be replaced. You will need to uninstall the entire unit and remove the outer shell to access the sensor that needs to be replaced. It will be mounted somewhere around one of the vent on the cavity of the microwave. You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Error Message

The problem is the oven temperature sensor has failed. This is located inside the oven near the top back. It is long thin tube like.Remove the 2 screws and remove the sensor. Check with an ohmeter you should have approx 1100 ohms within 10% if not replace. This is easy to replace. Enter your model 3 for diagrams and illustrations at All parts come with installation instructions.

F 10 code when I try using oven

The "F10" error code caused by the runaway temperature.

The first thing I would check is the resistance across the oven temperature probe (oven temperature sensor) terminals at the EOC (electronic oven control) plug.

It will be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If the resistance at the EOC plug is wrong, then measure the oven temperature probe resistance at the probe plug.

If it's wrong - replace the oven temperature probe. It's better to hardwire it, using a high temperature ceramic wire nuts.

If the readings at the EOC and at the oven temperature probe plug are different - check the wire harness between the oven temperature probe and the EOC.

If there is nothing wrong with the oven temperature probe resistance - replace the EOC.

Please rate and have a great day:)
