Get rid of vista? that is my suggestion, but if it came with the vista install cd, try running the system restore from the disk. note: YOUR PROGRAMS MAY DISAPPEAR IF YOU DO THIS!!! if you have an xp install/restore disk, you could try installing it onto your computer, but it won't look like vista. to get the vista feel back, download vitamiser from www.softpedia.com

Go through my guide entitled My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

However since the computer was only purchased a month ago I would say that it is still under warranty. Claim warranty support.

Take care!

Look at your power saving settings. It appears you have your computer monitor to go to sleep. I would change it to never sleep

This happened to me before with my lenovo. In my case buying a new battery fixed the problem. My laptop was about 7 months old. Another possiblity could be that the contacts between your battery and computer are messed up. Or that your motherboard's messed up. I would hedge on the first problem though...

My husbands password is being asked for and when it is entered it is being rejected and this happened about two months ago..why is this happening so often and how do we fix it?????

I imagine you are using winXP?.
Boot the machine again at the start press the f8 key the machine will start in safe mode notice your husbands login name and above it will be Administrator go in that way there will be no password for that. When you get in go to control panel click on users and remove the password for your husband restart the machine this time you should be able to go into yur husbands logon with no passwrd then do the same as before and put it back in if you want to............regards Peter

My computer has no sound- L310

If windows XP (i think for vista is pretty similar)check in "control panel" > "sounds and audio devices" - just to check the sound is not muted or turned right down. Check the speakers on another PC, and check your PC with other speakers / headphones to see if it sheds any light on the problem. Update or reinstall the most updated drivers for the soundcard, this may solve the problem, you can get them from this link; http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal20.cfm?website=AcerPanAm.com/au&siteid=8116&areaid=12&formid=3394#results Hope this helps :)
