Wow, first off you may think yourself lucky that having no sound from the speakers is your only problem as the DV9000 has had some terrible user reviews with failures of the chipset and soldered joints on the mainboard due to excess heat causing it not to detect the wireless network card and/or the LCD screen, Nvidia GPU problems and charging issues as well. I digress, have you looked at the sound options within the control panel to make sure that the correct default playback device is selected and configured? Other than that, go to the system icon within the control panel, click on device manager and check for any yellow question marks. Right click on any affected devices and select update driver software option when you're connected to the internet and let the o/s do it's thing.

My jvc UX-D66 B micro system sound is very distorted and crackles when listening to music I checked the wires and they are fine it is the same through aux what could be the problem any advice please

You may have blown the speakers by playing too loud. Try listening with a pair of quality headphones. If the sound is clear through them - then the speakers are most likely the problem.

Iphone 4 speaker not loud.

Ifthe volume level is normal using headphones, so clean the speaker side gently with a toothbrush. At times some dust could clog the little holes.

Toshiiba satellite p205 Internal Harmon Kardon Speakers Do Not Work

Most likely its a nardware problem.
If Device manager shows the audio driver is working and enabled and when you plug an headphone into the headphone/audio out and you only get sound from the right headphone then the audio amp chip is faulty.
If the headphone sounds OK then the easiest solution is to connect a set of powered speakers to your laptop.

The sound on my firefox browser is low but when I listen to Window media player, it is very loud.

Try following solutions, if it works for you

To switch between speakers and headphones on Firefox,
make sure your headphones are plugged in first,
Right click on volume on the bottom right corner of your screen,
Then select Volume Mixer,
then double click on System sounds,
Click on the playback tab,
then you could switch between speakers or headphones, just select one and click "set default" and OK
only sounds in firefox will play in the headphones,
and windows media player will play on the speakers

You could leave your windows media player to play on the speakers while you listen to firefox videos in the headphones

If you want the media music player to play in your headphones also;
You have to change it in the media player program,
go to options on the media player, then look for playback devices, there should be 2 options speakers and headphones,
just pick one

I usually set the firefox audio to my headphones,
and a media player to the speakers

Please rate & vote if you like solution...

Thanks

I suspect that the loud speaker in the laptop may be faulty. Plug headphones in and test it.
If the sound is distorted as well there is a possibility of a motherboard fault.

Im getting interference with my laptoppower supply to my loud speakers how can i stop it

You need to do a little troubleshooting by testing with headphones alone and see if it happens if it does than there clearly is something wrong internally with adapter. Possibly could solve problem by replacing power adapter if this problem just started to occur. Another thing is if it does not happen on headphones than your loud speakers(stereo) is causing the issue and may need to connect it to another one. Also, try and unplug any other device you have attached to laptop and clear any other electrical devices from both stereo and laptop as far as possible. Good luck.

Blippy Sound

Sounds like the cords that are going into the PC/system have static. Remove the cords from the speakers and simply put your finger around the jacks to remove static. Push the cords and the jacks back in and switch on the speakers. Then twist the volume control, turning it up loud and then low, then loud and low again. That should cure the problem as it removes static that gets built up over time. Either that or your speakers could well be damaged.

If you can hear audio through the headphone jack but not the internal speaker jack, then the speaker is bad.

This is a problem I have seen many times before. I will be posting an article soon on how to replace the internal speaker, however this is not a repair that just anyone can do.

You have to have skills in dissassembly & soldering.
