Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
Wow, first off you may think yourself lucky that having no sound from the speakers is your only problem as the DV9000 has had some terrible user reviews with failures of the chipset and soldered joints on the mainboard due to excess heat causing it not to detect the wireless network card and/or the LCD screen, Nvidia GPU problems and charging issues as well. I digress, have you looked at the sound options within the control panel to make sure that the correct default playback device is selected and configured? Other than that, go to the system icon within the control panel, click on device manager and check for any yellow question marks. Right click on any affected devices and select update driver software option when you're connected to the internet and let the o/s do it's thing.
