well i don't have a 6 cd changer but i have had a few problems like that and all i can tell you is using something to unjam as soon as you hit the eject has been working just fine for me .......hope it helps a bit

Open the eject door and at the lower right side of the cartridge their should be a small indent that looks like you could poke it with a medium point pen. That's a reset for the changer. If that does not work, you will need to remove the changer from the car, pull off the top, plug the cable back in and hit eject. look for the arm on the backside of the cartridge and give it a nudge. It may just be stuck. Loading mechanisms usually do not fail before the optics or other!. I have the exact problem as of last week when my battery and altenator died. I tried to have it fixed at ford, but they said it was broken. Did you have any luck?
