Need sound driver (Realtek AC97 Audio) for Gigabyte motherboard GA-565IMPRZ

Hi.

Go to realtek.com, they have the audio drivers available for free download!

Just select which driver type you need, and select the operating system that you are using, as they have different ones for each operating system.

Download and install, and then reboot!

Your audio should now be working as it is supposed to !

Good luck, and have a nice day !

My dv600 trys to start up after about a sec it turns off and try and reboot but nothing happens i hear the fan can you help

It sounds like your onboard graphics card has become corrupt due to overheating. It's a common fault with these laptops. There's a gap of about 1mm between the graphics chip and the heat sink which is usually filled with a heatpad. Unfortunately these don't conduct heat as well as they should so the graphics card tends to overheat and corrupt the motherboard. Once this happens, there is a function in the BIOS that stops the laptop from booting, supposedly to stop the motherboard from frying. If you leave the laptop for long enough it might eventually start, I've had them do so in the last, and the problem might even seem to have solved itself but unfortunately it will only be a temporary thing. You need to replace the motherboard and when you do so put a copper shim and heat sink compound between the heat sink and the graphics card to stop it happening again. If it were me I'd sell the laptop for spares and buy a refurbished one.

I have a remote control truck from radio shack. Well I had to install a new motherboard from a messed up r/c. (same truck) It worked for maybe 2 minutes then I noticed one of the wires on the motherboard...

Hi, Looks like the one you soldered is not supposed to be there.
Check it again and look for the part that might the original soldered point for that wire.
Hope that solve everything!

You need sound drivers.

You can download them from the people who make your motherboard HERE.

You need to select Motherboards, Socket 478, then P4VMM2.

Then you need to choose a version number.

You'll have to examine your motherboard to see which version you have, it will be written somewhere on the motherboard itself.

Choose the right one, then download and install the audio drivers and you'll have sound.

OR you can try using the Windows Update function and choosing CUSTOM.

Windows will automatically check to see if there is an updated driver for your system.

I'd try that first, since it's quick and easy.

Let me know if you have any problems and please don't forget to rate my solution FixYa. I put a lot of time into solving people's problems for free so don't leave me hanging.

Thanks!

Intel d101ggc making buzzer sound at equal intervals and then pc hangs.

OK this buzz is suppose to be a beep.
The device you described is called apezo electric speaker and is suppose to beep a post code to help define a problem.

If it's buzzing and not beeping there is either a fault with the piezo or the motherboard is not receiving the amount of power it needs to properly drive the speaker.

OK back to the post code. The patern is important it should be a series of long and short beeps. The fact that it is buzzing and not beeping may make it difficult to determine the difference between long and short beeeps.

Try your best to hear a pattern in it. Whether its constant beeps or 2 short 1 long or any other discernable variation please post back the number of beeps and if there is a long or short pattern.
please post back here

Thanks
Dave
