Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

We bought SA6087/37 for our grandson. He used it about a month and it froze. We did the reset and all it does is flash. We have followed everything in the quick start guide. We have registered it but I longer find my receipt, from Wal-mart. I do have a visa receipt. Do we send it back to you for replacement? It is doing him no good as is and it cost we $119.00 so I would like it able to useit.

    We followed the recovery and the Mp3 remain blank as if it we dead. Nothing flashes nothing lights up.

Get replacement from Philips but try this first:

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

    Call Philips to get the replacement - this player is dead - BTW, I don't appreciate you ranking me as "inappropriate" - "inappropriate" is for people who write something like "f--- you" instead of offering a solution that has been known to work with other GoGear's. your ranking hurts my standing and reputation. Freezes on the 'Rebuilding...' screen.


The same thing happened too me about six months ago after about a year and a half of using my zen with min. problems. It would freeze on 'Rebuilding..' and then there was an endless cycle of reset but eventually it would Rebuild completely and all my music and information was fine. It seemed to be playing fine but if it froze I had to start the reset game all over again. Then the real problems started. There are a few load screens before you make it to the Rebuild and it started to freeze on that instead after awhile. I was actually revealed when I froze on 'rebuilding..' and made it that far.
If you can get it into recover mode and reboot it seems to have less problems freezing but that doesn't even work for me anymore. Then occasionally when it freezes it starts to vibrate terribly and make a horrible sound. Then it stops and flashes hard disk problems.
This all happened slowly too me. It really wasn't worth the time I put into it trying to fix it. My advice is to work on getting a new MP3 player. If you can get it past the 'rebuilding..' your going to have to play the reset game every time it freeze and it will probably freeze more often.

My Philips GoGear MP3 Player is stuck


Been using this for a few months. Froze up on same song while on vacation last month, and continued to play same song on repeat until battery went down. Now is frozen with "Do Not Disconnect" as it was being charged on my laptop. Attempted to unplug and plug back in and Windows gives DO NOT DISCONNECT!!!!!

I am having the exact same problem!!!!!

My creative zen vision M says FIRMWARE PROBLEM! HELP!


Hi you can try going to Creative's web site and downloading there Creative MP3 Player Recovery Tool software and what that does is update everything and most of the time it will fix what the problem . I would try that first.

My go gear is froze and when I restarted it it was froze still


This have been my sons second mp3 player in less then 1 month. His mp3 players keeps freezing up and I have tried every item available. This is really frustrating. I purchased this for a Christmas present and it has not work for a month straight.

Zune froze won't reset tried back button in unlock and held top of zune button but did nothing.


Followed explanation on Yuotube on how to disconnect battery. Rebooted Zune and all works normally?????
This is the first time I have had any problem with Zune in 12 months and very grateful to Fixya in helping me find the solution.

My rockchip mp3 player screan froze and you can only turn it on


i recently bought a MP3-4 player wich reported as a rochchip mp3
my manual says that there is a ´reset´ hole. You can use a small pointy object to reset your player. After reset you switch it on as normal. Everything should be solved then.

It's permanently frozen


Sounds like you have a bad hard drive and will need to get it replaced. You should take it to a technician, or if you feel confident enough, buy another hard drive and install it yourself.
