It is pearl 8100.They need the phone model and not the company.By the way BIS only works for blackberry and not bsnl gprs.to activate the Blackberry Plans just call 1505 or 1800 180 1505 from BSNL

There are two methods for unlocking Blackberry 8100 by MEP number and by IMEI#.
The simplest method for unlocking by IMEI#.

theres an icon that looks like an antenna called connections. click it and turn your network back on........but remember that the blackberry will turn the radio off when the battery gets too low but the device will still be on, just without the ability to call or txt.
so make sure you have a decent charge, click on the icon and select the voice network to turn it on.

you needto reinstall the blackberry software on your phone using the blackberry desktop. Download your corresponding software (t-mo=8120, AT&T=8100) and install it on your computer. then using the Blackberry desktop, under install apps, reinstall your software into your phone

My Blackberry also wouldn't turn on, till a sharp tap at the top left of the screen made the screen flicker into life and I realised it was on, just no screen. After intermittent screen failing, repeated tapping seems to have fixed the problem. I'll upgrade to a new Blackberry when my contract allows.
