Question about Evesham Axis PC Desktop

Open Question

Hi I have an Evesham Axis 1700+ running XP with SP3. Until recently this ran fine, but has now started freezing, even when in BIOS! I have had to replace the HDD and re-installed XP from original Evesham install disk, and have allowed Windows update to bring it up to current version. I have downgraded the cpu speed to 1100 in case this was causing excessive heat, but even this froze eventually. Any thoughts? Do I need to upgrade the BIOS. Motherboard is the Asus A7V266 Thanks Martin

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Can't find Evesham LAN driver

Without knowing the model numbers it is hard to know if the driver I found will work. It is worth a try:

SOURCE: bad hard drive back up and replace on evesham ebox

The only thing I can think of is you might hook up the drive as "slave" drive on a working computer and see if it will operate long enough to retrieve your data. But if the drive is dead you may have lost everything that was on it. There are services that do data recovery on dead hard drives but I'm sure it is expensive to have this done. This is why I always back up everything I do to a different device while I am working.

SOURCE: I have an Evesham Ebox and the motherboard has failed. It's details are; K9mgm-2 ms-7252 version 1.2. Do you know if it is possible to buy a replacement? Thanks

It does not appear as if that motherboard is still available for purchase. The only thing I can tell you to do is contact that Manufacturer directly and see if they can replace it. This will likely be very expensive though.

SOURCE: new graphic card for Evesham Axis 64 3200

Are you asking about upgrading your graphics card?
Aslong as you get a graphics card that is AGP connection you will be fine.
They dont make AGP graphics cards anymore, but one of the last ones made (and most powerful is the Nvidia 7950 AGP) can be found all over ebay.
Its not a cheap card though, and a later edition nvidia 6 card would be just as good for you, such as an Nvidia 6800 AGP graphics card

I have no sound after reinstalling windows xp i have tried reinstalling drivers

Go to the Axis web site and search your system and look for Drivers and Downloads. If that wont work... under your PC Specs it should tell you the Sound Card Manufacture... run a search for that driver on Google. XP has issues with PnP on Sound Cards...

Evesham Axis RD A-List failed HD - can't boot from CD

Sounds like the hdd is failing. Do you have a restore disk or OS disk? Or was there a restore partition on the failing hdd? Either way, it looks like your going to need a new hdd and at least a restore or OS disk. Not real familiar with the Evesham Axis.

Service pack3 crashed puter - after reinstall machine thinks extra hard drive is a disk drive.

You can get to the BIOS by hitting DEL or F2 at start up.

However, that does not have anything to do with a drive letter.

Drive letter designation is set in
START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS>COMPUTER MANAGEMENT>DISK MANAGEMENT.

Hope this helps.
