Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5300 All-In-One InkJet Printer

The display window

Window was bright and clear, now 5 months later it is very faded looking to point where I can barley make out what the screene says. Its been this way for months. what can I do? the store warrenty is long goand I want to replace it.

For an issue like that there is really only a few things you could try. You could unplug the printer from the wall for more than 30 secs and plug it back in. You could try the newest firmware. Another thing you could do is open the access panel to the ink. In the top right on the white portion of the printer you will see a L-shaped piece. You should remove that and make sure the wires are secure. Other than that you may be out of luck but you can call support anyway.

Print is fading from receit


Welcome to the real world. Fading receipt print is chronic. In this high-technology world, the only reason I can think of for using that fading, heat-produced print is to rip off the customer.

*No returns or warranty without receipt*. Months later you manage to find your receipt but it's so faded it's unreadable. A lot of good it does you but it sure helps out unscrupulous retailers.

There needs to be a law that receipts last ten years...

1. Remove the Compact Flash Cover [1].
2. Press the Warm Restart switch [2].
3. When "." appears at the center on the left-hand side of the screen, enter "3" from the
10-Key Pad.
4. Enter the 8-digit service code and touch [END]. (Default value: 00000000)

• To adjust the position of the Touch Panel display
• Make this adjustment if the Touch Panel is slow to respond to a pressing action.
• When the control panel is replaced.
1. Touch [Touch Panel Adjustment] from the Initial mode screen.
2. Following the arrow mark, touch the four points (+) sequentially on the screen using a
pen.
NOTE
• Be sure to touch the very center of each point.
• Use care not to damage the screen surface with the tip of the pen.

My computer willnot power up anymore.


Instructions

1.Look at the battery indicator light on your computer. Is it on? If so, check your brightness settings. If your laptop appears that it is not on, it may in actuality have lowered brightness settings. If the brightness setting is at its lowest setting, the laptop screen will be completely dark, and the laptop will appear to be powered off, even though it is not. Try cranking up the brightness settings.

2.Check your AC power adapter. Is it snugly plugged into the wall or surge protector? Make sure the connection is made and it is not loose. Also, try connecting the power adapter into a different wall outlet.

3.Check the status of your laptop battery by considering how long you have had the same battery. Most modern batteries are only good for about 1,000 full charges. After that point, the battery can and eventually will greatly deteriorate. Replace your battery if necessary.

4.Replace your battery by powering off your laptop and then flipping it over and locating the battery cover outline, which will be near the bottom back of your laptop. Remove any screws with a Phillips screwdriver and pop off the battery cover. Slide out the old battery. Put in the new battery by sliding it in until it clicks, and then replace the cover.

5.Consider replacing your laptop monitor. Your laptop may power on, but if the monitor display does not work, it will appear to be off and you will not be able to operate the machine. Check to see if your current LCD display works by plugging your laptop up to an external monitor using a VGA cable. If the external monitor displays your computer contents, your computer motherboard and underlying systems are still working, but your display will need to be replaced.

6.Replace an LCD display by removing the screws around the bezel of your current display with a Phillips screwdriver. Pop off the bezel carefully and remove it. Then, locate the screws on the two metal brackets beneath the bezel and on either side of the display, and remove these too.

7.Disconnect the inverter cable, which is plugged into the inverter. The inverter is located just beneath the display, at the bottom-center of the laptop. Then, pull back and slide out the old display, and replace it with the new. Put the metal bracket screws back in place, reconnect the inverter cable, and then pop the bezel in place. Replace the bezel screws.

Faded magenta color? What's the cause and how can I fix it?


Hi,

This issues looking printer head problem. check the following Steps for cleaning printer head :

  • Click on the Start button if you have Windows XP. If you have Windows Vista, click the Windows icon that resides in the lower left corner of your computer screen.
  • Click on "Control Panel," then "Printers and Other Hardware." Finally click on "View Installed Printers or Fax Printers."
  • Right-click on the name of your printer and choose "Printing Preferences." This should open a new window; next look for a tab or button marked Maintenance, or something similar.
  • Find the button that says "Print heads" or "Clean the Print heads" and click on it. You may be asked to choose which print heads; choose them all if you are. Make sure there is paper and ink in your printer, and that it is turned on ahead of time.
  • Take out the page your printer has printed and see if there are any grids or boxes missing. If there aren't, then you can just exit the program--your print heads are not clogged. If there are grids missing, then click on the "Cleaning" or similarly worded button.
  • Once the cleaning process has completed, print another page to be sure that your print heads are no longer clogged. If they are still clogged, repeat Steps 1-5 until your printer is printing clearly.

Colour comes out 'faded' with purple colouration when photos should be bright and clear strong colours . cartridges not empty.


Sounds like a bad print head or bad cartridge. If you bought refilled cartridges, i would suspect that as the culprit first.

I have a ricoh 1045 , and I can not read the display looking down, but I can see everything in an angle. Can you help?


See the display panel contrast button position(in the left side to user tools button.).If not work perform the touch screen adjustment:Press the total stop key(yellow)-1-9-9-3-clear/stop key(red button) x5 timeand press enter key(double croice).The graphic sensing adjustment screen will appear.Touch the upper left corner then the lower right corner of the panel using a pointed tool.Touch a few spots on the LCD and confirm that the marker appear on the screen at exacrly the same location as the pointed tip.Touch enter on the screen adjustment.Turn off the machine and back on to store the settings.

Register LDAP servers and specify authentication settings. Settings can be specified for the following.

Parameter Description
LDAP Server Name Type in the name of the LDAP server to be registered.
Use the keyboard that appeared in the touch panel to type in the server name (32
characters or less).
Max. Search Results Specify the maximum number of destinations to be displayed after a search. To
change the setting, press the [C] (clear) key, and then use the keypad to type in
the desired setting. (Range: 5 to 1000)
Timeout Specify the maximum wait time for a search operation. To change the setting,
press the [C] (clear) key, and then use the keypad to type in the desired setting.
(Range: 5 to 300 seconds)
Initial Setting for Search Details Specify the initial search conditions for "Name", "E-Mail", "Fax Number", "Last

Prints faded


Hello mvjv,

To solve the faded prints you need to clean the printhead twice by going to the software and click the "?" mark icon on the upper right corner of the software window and then under General Links select Maintenance then choose Clean Printhead - do it at least thrice to unclog the printhead system. Then try making prints... If still cannot solve call Kodak Technical Support.

I think its not printer or ink problem. Your monitor might be brighter so pics will look more bright on monitor and less on printer. If this is the case with you then:
  • Try to reduce brightness of your monitor, then make bright your picture using software which one you are using, means in this case you are going to save more bright value in the image file. Then print it.
