My samsung 305t+ monitor suddenly turned green. It constantly shifts between 2 states: flickering green ripples on the screen or the whole monitor turning bright green. It makes my pc unuseable because I cannot see anything. I have checked the white pin connector, and a few times fiddling with it caused the screen to turn back to normal for 10 minutes or so. The connector looks fine, though one of the pins on both sides is slighty bent, it is exactly like this on both sides so I don't believe this is the problem. How do I go about fixing this?

SOURCE: samsung tv turning off by itself

I have the same problem of the set turning off and on by itself. There is a circuit in Samsung TVs that would shut it down if a very loud noise occurs in the program being watched, but I have not noticed that correlation. My problem is solved by vacuuming the back panels of the set. They do not seem to have any significant dust on them, but I think the vacuum sucks somewhat inside of the TV and does some good with the fan that is supposed to be cooling the bulb and the mirror. It seems to work for months on end and when the problem recurrs, I vacuum again.

SOURCE: Samsung HDMI issue

Have you try to replace your HDMI cable?I recommend you to pick up a good Monster HD700 HDMI cable from a local retail store like best buy or circuit city.In case it isn't the cable problem, you could return it.
However, when you are a using the HDMI cable,it is normally either have both picture and sound or nothing at all.Are you sure you didn't hook up the audio OUTPUT from your TV back to a receiver input?
Or even an optical output from the TV to the receiver?

Having issues with my samsung syncmaster 305t displaying red green blue and white. can you help me with this?

since no one answered this, I had the same issue, It was pretty basic but when nothing is connected to the screen (the DVI cable is not connected to any device) it loops in red green blue and white. So just connect something to it and it should work. This monitor is not the most practical since it has no menu and just 1 port.

My samsung monitor 305t can not have a resolutuon more than 1280/800?! Please, help!

You're either using a single link DVI cable (you need a dual link DVI cable for 2560x1600 resolution), or your video card doesn't support dual link DVI (which is required).

I am at work right now looking for solution to my monitor at home. The screen is so wavy that I cannot read the text very good. My 5 year old plays on the computer a lot. And all of a sudden the other...

Connect the monitor to a different computer (laptop or desktop), to see if the problem "follows" the monitor.

Connect a different monitor to your computer, to see if the video-card in your computer is generating the "wavy" display.

Move any "power-bars" and PC Speakers *FAR* away from the monitor, to eliminate electrical interference.

Dead samsung 172n power light flickers

Have you checked the power output from the power board? Is it constant and steady? Try reflowing all the joints if you haven't already. Especially transformer and coil joints. Maybe a bad logic board? Do you have spares to try? Does it do this with everything disconnected from the pwr board (switch, logic, inverter)?
