You select the contact you want to delete, press menu button or icon and it should give you the delete option. That would take forever since you'd have to delete one at a time. Download an app called Contact Remover or Delete Contacts from the google play store (free) and you can delete multiple contacts at once.
I am not familiar with this specific telephone, however, the following will help you:
Press your menu or OK button if your phone is so equipped. Otherwise, find the menu. There you will find several categories of operations. Go into the CALLS folder and select open - you will find what you need there. Look for clues such as OPTIONS on "soft keys" until you find what you seek. Deleting calls or messages will be done in a similar fashion once you discover that fashion.
(When you receive a TXT, there is probably a ERASE button that shows up on that same screen. Alternatively, you save dozens of messages for review later. There is probably a feature that you can set to delete messages immediately after you read them)
You can't accidentally break the device, explore all the buttons to discover all sorts of nifty features like special ring tones and how to add pics to your contacts list, take pics and movies, view streaming video, etc. This is really the best way to lear how to use your new phone.
Alternatively, you can probably find the operation manual at the LG web site and/or your service provider web site. You can probably read it directly on your computer and/or down load it to read later. You an probably print the manual on your printer if you have one ... but really, what is the point of that?
Have fun with your new phone ... you have nice kids!
usually the 4 digit code is the last 4 numbers of your cells number...
does anyone know how to fix this problem? My cell does voice calls in and out with no issues, I can send text messages out, but I do not get text messages coming in. I only got 4 on the day it was activated and once by tech support. Now I cna use the cell for voice calls in and out and text sent out... how do I make the phone allow me to receive text messages?? another site said to upgrade-update software but that option is not in my phones menu at the settings section.
Check user customizable profile. Whether it is set Vibrator mode in General mode. Even by key press mistake it might happens. Check profiles section. if you feel Risky Contact authorised mobile service stations. thank you !
Ok - been researching this for a year or so - Apparently this is likely to happen if you delete something on the phone like contacts or messages or apps etc. and the phone doesn't have the memory available to handle the process... there is also some data that is added or moved during the shutdown process, so even if it looks ok to go, there might actually be a problem on restart. Not quite a solution, but at least an answer... It would appear from all sources that recovery from this is not possible - I have not found anyone who successfully even reflashed it with original software.
This is my 8th 8915 which is also prone to this - and it fits exactly with the pattern of destruction. I actually was avoiding deleting items via data cable b/c someone advised me that would be bad... turns out to be just the opposite! So watch your memory limits when adding contacts and apps with this phone.
My guess is that this is applicable to the entire family of pantech pn-200,212,215,300 .utstarcom 7025/7075.audiovox 8610, 8900, 8912, 8915, 8920, etc, that were similar
