LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer Logo
Posted on Sep 30, 2010

OK I'm in deep trouble. I have an LG 2277h first I had the LE error and I read most of the posts. I unplugged and preformed QC test proceedures and then things went from bad to worse. My main problem was that after running on gentle cycle with a moderate load - the machine stopped with an LE error. I first emptied the washer of the wet cloths and some water. I used the QC command to drain the remaining water. I tried to have the machine spin the clothes but the drum would not turn. I then then ran a normal wash with the machine empty and it worked fine for 2 minutes filling and turning in both directions but then the drum was siezing up and the LE error returned. I used the QC mode to drain the machine and then tried to use the low speed spin but the machine did not respond, same with high spin. I circled through the rest of the QC functions draining the machine again. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE MACHINE POWERED OFF AND I COULD SMELL SOMETHING ELECTRICAL AND ALL POWER WAS SHUT OFF. Now the machine is DEAD - no lights, zip nadda nothing. It's been unplugged and it does not come back to life. HELP - What happened and what do I do to not fix both problems - NO Power and and No Drum trun with a load.

Your going have to open it up. I think its the PWB ASSY, MAIN Part#6871ER1003C. Unscrew the top on the back and from the front push the top back. That will slide it back, it you see a red light on the power assembly then its not your problem but if its off then that is the part to replace. I'm ordering the part right now. Its pretty easy to unplug all the cables. I found it from 53 to 160 on the internets. You just have to shop around and call them to see if they actually have it in stock. http://media.fotki.com/1_p,ssbrgfbfrktqtddxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/rwsbqgrbwxrqrkswwdq/1/1303472/5961857/image1927948615726646899img-or.jpg

LE error on washer. What can I do without a tech?

The *dreaded* "LE" error is overwhelmingly caused or triggered by incorrect type detergent **OR** too much *HE* detergent (a special low sudsing detergent).
In all LG washers-when too much detergent has been used-this will cause the "LE" error to be displayed & the wash cycle will be interrupted. Unplugging the washer for more than one minute will cause the MAIN BOARD (computer) to power down and re-boot when the washer has been plugged back in.
On LG washers built *before* 2008-after several "LE" error events-the error *cannot* be reset by unplugging the washer. This indicates that the HALL EFFECT SENSOR has failed and will need to be replaced.
On all LG washers built during and after 2008-a more robust resistor was used in the HALL EFFECT SENSORS-which eliminated damage caused by higher electrical loads placed upon the sensors due to oversudsing. HALL EFFECT SENSORS virtually never fail in 2008 and newer LG washers but the "LE" error will still occur if too much or the wrong type of detergent is used. This will be "resettable" by unplugging/replugging the washer.
The CORRECT amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent to be used is as follows:
HE : (2) Tablespoons Per Wash Load
HE 2X : (1) Tablespoon
HE 3X : (1) Teaspoon
USE THESE AMOUNTS RELIGIOUSLY-NO EXCEPTIONS-IN ALL FRONT LOAD WASHERS WITH 3.0 cu ft DRUMS AND LARGER

I get a message le or ue error and machine stops

Where in the cycle is the machine stopping?
A 1E error would be a fill problem. Either the water supply is inadequate (low pressure coming in due to a problem with your water supply), the water supply taps aren't fully open (make sure to open the valves fully), the inlet hose is bent (straighten the hose) or the inlet filter is clogged (clean the filter).

An UE error happens during the spin cycle. Either the load is too small or the load is uneven. Add some items that can tolerate the spin cycle speed or redistribute the load.

A LE error indicates that the motor has overloaded. Wait 30 minutes and then try to restart the machine. If the error persists, the unit needs service.

The manual for the WM-2277H* is available from LG as a DjVu file here: http://www.lg.com/us/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=WM2277HB&matchedModelCode=NOT_MATCHED&searchEngineModelCode=WM2277HB&initialTab=documents&targetPage=support-product-profile# .

I hope this helps.

LE error code

No recalls at this point. the repair man is correct. the circulation motor is damaged.

You should know that, this model has many issues that we deal with on this site that concern this (LE) trouble code. The circulation motors are not reliable in this model.

My washing machine is presenting LE error, I have already replaced part # 6501KW2002A - Hall Sensor Assembly. I try running QC test, I have cleaned filters on back of machine, I have drained off the water...

LE = locked rotor. Replacing most common problem (hall effect sensor) didn't work.

1. Is rotor really locked?
2. Does control board simply think rotor is locked?
3. Is wiring good?
4. Did you install a defective sensor?
5. Is circuitry on control board bad, and reading sensor wrong?
6. Do you know any good repair people who are good with high tech? I do. . . ME!

Good luck.

LG Tromm washer LE code

I shouldn't even respond to this if you have had 5 or 6 tech look at it because I don't want a Thanks for Trying, but it sounds like you are at the end of your rope. The pump motor should not have anything to do with the problem. If you did not have anything in the tub, including suds, doing the QC test, and you have checked and replaced all you have said, the only thing left is the main PCB part number 6871ER1078T

LG WM2277HW washer LE error

I was also having the LE error problem. I tried removing the unpumped water , tried re-running the load etc....... then I decided to try something else.... just like we have to restart our computers, I thought about resetting the washer so to speak......not sure if it is fixed, I am going to try running another load, but, I UNPLUGGED THE WASHER, LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS, THEN PLUGGED BACK IN.... AND THE WASHER WENT THROUGH A CYCLE AND FINISHED.

LG WD(M)- 16220FD Error LE

The problem you are having is with the Hall sensor. To be 100% sure, here is the test proceedure, it is located on the stator. Replace this and your problems will go away. If you are not already using HE detergent, start using it, as well cut back on your fabric softener.

LG WM2077CW LE Error, won't spin

It sounds like the motor sensor has failed and needs to be replaced.  Yes a DYI can do it.  The sensor is in the back.
Remove the back cover.
Use a 17mm socket to remove the center bolt holding the rotor.  Remove the rotor by pulling it straight out.  It will be hard but keep pulling.
Now use a 10mm socket to remove the 6 bolts holding the stator assembly.  Carefully remove the stator and turn it around to locate two connectors.  The 5 wire connector is the motor sensor.  Replace it and reinstall and it should work fine.
