In that case the defect is in the pc - start by replacing the power source and the power cable. If it's the same then the motherboard has died and you will have to replace it.

How do you get a pic to extend desktop to tv monitor using vha to vga cord? I had no problem when I used a s-video hook up. I plugged in the pc and tv using the s-video cable, Choose Display, extended the...

What is occurring is the TV monitor is extending your desktop, where what you were doing in the past is switching between the two. When you plugged the VGA cable in, what occurred is your desktop was increased to account for the size of the TV, and it is acting like a second monitor, If you go into the display properties on your computer you will see a monitor with a 1 and one with a 2. The monitor with a 2 on it is the television, and whatever side it is to the #1 monitor (most likely to the right) if you scroll your mouse to the right of the monitor on your computer you should see it appear on the TV, to play or have a window on your TV, simply click and drag the window into the TV screen Frame, and then maximize the window, this will allow you to continue to work on your computer monitor while the other program runs on the television. It's basically like having two monitors instead of switching between the two

I have internal speakers on the monitor and I can't get the external speakers to work. There are no troubleshooting directions.

Hi,

Try to check what type of connection you're using if its HDMI, DVI or VGA. If happens you're using HDMI it has a capability to give sound you just have to check the settings on the monitor or on the pc tower unlike the VGA and DVI you need to use speaker jack to have a sound on your monitor.

Example Pics.

Pls help I'm watch movie half way my monitor shut down suddenly so I restart the whole com but when I on the CPU it has a long beep sound and the monitor doesn't turn on what should I do pls help me !

long beep sound is an error code for post. no post means a hardware failure. unplug the desktop from the power source. while its unplugged press and hold the power button for a minute. try to boot up again. if still the same you need to reseat some parts on the inside and might need extra help to do that

No pic on monitor. connected everything to computer and no picture on the monitor

Please double check, you should have two cables out of the monitor and connected.
1. The power cable to your UPS/ AC switch. 2. display cable connected to the CPU(main box).
Based on the information you gave one or both of these cables are not connected/switched on.
Thanks.

Problem with Digital Input

Hi,

You may need to switch monitor selection in your Display Properties. You need to activate twin/dual view in your Display Properties. Right click on any clear area of your desktop, click on Properties, click on Settings tab, select monitor 1 or 2 depending which is your primary and which is your secondary (analog/digital). Check (or uncheck-whichever works) on box "Extend....". Apply, OK.

There is an application that is supposed to facilitate twin or dual view configuration, UltraMon. This may be better/safer way to address your concern.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you have other concerns.

Good luck and kind regards.
