Possible that the lid is broken and needs to patched up or the lid replaced if the safety switch is not closing to allow the projector to work.

Hello Im wondering if you could help me my 7year old daughter got the Hello Kitty boom box for her birthday in Jan and she really loves it the problem is for no apparent reason the lid will not close

You are right, the black clip holds the lid down and releases it, the only way this can be fixed is a replacement part, Tv repair shops may carry or have access to get one.

Doesn't start after filling with water - model 110.15962401

check the lid switch, your lid switch is under the top console, open the lid and close it a few times you should hear a clicking sound, open the lid and stick your hands in the back above the tub, there's two clips one on each side that holds the top console down,or you can use a putty knife and stick it under the console and pop the clips, you'll see the lid switch on the left side, part number 8318084 and it's around 20 dollars.

Door lid switch will not latch properly, I have to put something heavy on top of it to make it work, is there a way to fix this problem

It sounds like the small clip that holds the lid shut from the inside has either snapped off or has become dis-lodged. Check around the inside of the unit, where the lid closes for the location. If the small plastic clip has broken off you may find it hard to repair due to it's small size and location. I hope this helps

The load finished on my whirlpool cabrio washer (topload) but the machine won't unlock the lid?

you need to replace the lid lock. the latch probably broke in 2, and the broken part is whats keeping the lid closed. if you have clothes inside you can open the top by using a putty knife to release the front clips holding the top of the machine down. push each clip in and lift up. you will also be able to access the lid lock this way.

Greetings,
check for a faint click when you close the lid..if you hear no click, paying close attention for sound..the lid switch is most likely bad..on some models..it prevents machine from spinning, but lets it wash..there is a way to get it to spin by hooking switch up direct...this is only good for checking as its a safety feature...raise console after UNPLUGGING and you will see a small block with three wires coming out of cabinet at right corner ...there will be a plug that goes into this with three wires and it comes off by holding a little tab and pulling it off. its this block that you want to make bypass..do not use the green wire as its ground, but make bypass beteen other two wires and it should drain and spin. make sure you tape this with electrical tape and purchase a new lid switch.

The agitator mover of my Whirpool washing machine (model # LA9100XTW1) no longer spin or move. What would be the likely fix to this problem? Thanks!

the motor coupling could be bad or the lid switch is bad.close the lid down then open it up a little and close it,if you don't hear a clicking sound then the lid switch is bad and most likely water will still be in the machine or the other common problem is the coupling part number 285753A and it's around 20 dollars.unplug the washer, remove the two phillips screws that hold down the top console, flip the console up and with a screw driver pop off the two metal clips, stick the screw driver in the hole and on top of the clip and push back to the wall and the clips will pop out.near the right hand side clip there's a wire harness, that's the lid switch wires unplug it then open the lid, grab the frame and pull up and back and remove the frame of the washer.look at the bottom, you'll see the pump, remove the two clips with a screw driver, slide off the pump, remove the two screws and the two clips on the motor, slide the motor out and on the back of it you'll see the coupling.also remove the other half of it off the transmission.if this isn't broke you either have a bad tranny.let me know what you find

Lid not turning washer on

Sounds like a lid switch problem most likely. When closing the lid, slowly lower it and listen/feel for a "click" when the lid is about 3 inches from being completely closed. If you don't, then you have a broken lid switch.

The model of washer you listed, TAWS800JQ, has two different possible lid switches and you get to them differently.

To get to the lid switch, you need to remove 2 screws that hold the control console in place. There is 1 on the left and 1 on the right of the console. They can either be on the front side and easy to see, or on the back side. Loosen those screws so that the console is free and you can flip it up and backwards out of your way.

One type of lid switch can be seen on the left side after you flip the control console up and back out of your way. There is just a little clip that holds it in place. The lid needs to be raised in order to remove the lid switch. Unplug the wiring harness and replace.

The other type, do this:
Then use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the brass spring clips on the left and right side of the washer that hold the front/sides/top on. Unplug the lid switch in the middle of the washer top and then you can remove the wrap-around cabinet. The lid switch is under the top and is held in place by clips and 2 screws.

Just buzzes filled with water and will not agitate just buzzes

Check your lid switch. open and close the lid slow and listen for a click noise and if you do not here the click your lid switch is most likely bad.

To Replace the lid swith you will half to lift your consol and remove the clips & disconect the lid switch connector holding the front cab in place and remove the cab to properly replace the lid switch.

After rinse cycle, water drains but laundry does not spin out. Sopping wet clothes.

Could be a bad lid switch.
Could be a bad direct drive coupling.
Could be a bad timer.

Remove the 2 screws holding the control console to the top panel. They are on the left and right corners.Pull the console forward slightly and fold it to the rear of the machine. You will see a wiring plug in the top of the cabinet . Unplug this plug. Use a volt meter set for continuity and place the meter leads in the plug receptacle on the cabinet. One lead on the right hand pin,one lead on the left hand pin. With the lid closed it should read continuity. Open and close the lid while touching the meter leads to the pins, the meter should show contact while closed and no contact while open. If there is no contact, replace the lid switch.

If the lid switch is OK, remove the 2 metal brass clips holding the corners of the cabinet to the back panel.Pull the cabinet forward to remove it. UNPLUG THE WASHER. Get on the floor and remove the wires to the motor. Remove the clips holding the water pump to the front of the motor. Remove the 2 clips holding the motor to the transmission. Remove the motor. There will be a plastic piece on the motor shaft,a rubber gasket, then a plastic piece in the transmission shaft. The plastic pieces have 3 plastic pins on them. They may be broken off. The plastic pieces may also be stripped inside where they mount on the motor and transmission shaft. If these are defective buy a new direct drive coupling and install it. The front of the coupling should be flush with the motor shaft and transmission shaft when correctly installed.

If the direct drive coupling is OK. Replace all the parts and re-assemble the washer. PLUG IT IN. With the lid closed. Set the machine to the final spin cycle and turn it on.If you hear the motor running and no spin, open, then close the lid. If it spins then it is a bad timer.
