Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphone
If it is indeed 'dead' then it is not going to be doing much. :)
I would try pulling the battery first. Letting it set for 5-10 minutes without the battery. Then plug it in to power without the battery and try turning on. Let it power on all the way if it can. Then power down using the power off button. Put battery back in. Turn on. Plug into PC with cable. Check if it can sync. If it does not power on, your first statement is correct, it is dead. You might check wth a local repair shop to see what the issue might be, unless the phone is under warranty or you have insurance.
