Question about Frigidaire Laundry Optional Pedestal APWD15W
Make sure the door switch is being made. Tap on it during the pause and see if it starts back up. At what time did it start pausing? Is this a new problem. Did anything happen before the problem began? If it's not the door switch and it's not suppossed to do that it might be another switch or sensor that's the problem.

Because our machine was new and covered under warranty, we had a maintenance person come out three times for this issue, but the only solution he could provide was to use less soap. Apparently, too much soap disrupts a sensor. So, if you let the machine run without adding any more soap, it will (theoretically) fix the problem. And this solution did work, to a certain extent.
Even though I started using much less soap, the problem is still persisting. For awhile, I was successfully able to fix it by running a few cycles without soap. Now, however, it just won’t work. Maybe others will have more success with this solution than we did.
At this point, the washer is no longer cover under warranty and our best solution is to buy anything but a Frigidaire or related Electrolux product.

there is an access panel on the back of the unit. 6 screws and on the bottom is a rubber hose that comes from the tub. inside that rubber hose is a filter cup. i have the same unit and mine did the same thing. took it out pulled clog out put it back together. works like a charm. hard to get at but you can do it. use a drill with a phillips head to make it quicker. Also have pliers and a pair of channel locks. Good luck and it aint the Timer TRUST ME

Hello friend, thank you for the post!
I understand that your Frigidaire washer, ATF6000es, keeps pausing during a cycle. Generally that means there is a disruption in the cycle. I would try resetting your appliance, unplug the power cord or flip the household circuit breaker, for ten minutes. If that does not resolve the issue it could be a problem with your control board or wiring harness within the washer. I would recommend having a technician come out to the home to diagnose and repair the appliance. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hi Lance - It means that the washer has been paused; the cycle has been interrupted. Either the "Pause/Cancel" button or "Start/Pause" button has been pressed. To resume wash - press "Pause/Cancel" or "Start/Pause" once. If this does not prove to be successful please turn the breaker to the unit off for 5 minutes. Then turn the breaker back on to the unit, and retry the cycle setting again.
