Question about FUJIFILM FinePix S1800 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I was taking pictures for my photography class and after 3-4 pictures in, the camera froze. I turned it off and on and it did it again. When I tried to check the photos I took, it told me "read error". So, I clicked on the reset option and I was able to take and look through my photos. Now the issue, when I plug in the usb cable in to my camera and my computer, my computer keeps on freezing when I tried to upload my images. It didn't have this issue before. This is an FUJIFILM FinePix S1800 12 MP Digital Camera.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How to use and do photography on canon power shoot sx 60sh?

This is a very open-ended question. Start by reading your owners manual to get familiar with your camera's features. Then go take pictures. Take a photography class as there are probably local clubs or professionals or colleges or adult education or other sources in your area that can help. There are also online courses available. One option is New York Institute of Photography. They will allow you to do this from home, send you all the course material and photography assignments and you submit those for critique. Good or bad, it is what you make from it..nothing more. Good luck. Photography can quickly become a passion.

What would be the easiest setting to use for a beginner

The easiest setting would be the AUTO mode. In this mode the camera does everything except decide where and when to take the picture. You can also use the various scene modes depending on what you're taking a picture of.
As you gain experience you'll want to use some of the other settings in order to take more control over your photography. I suggest you visit your local library. They should have some introductory photography books which will tell you when to use what setting.

Photography Class Camera

Hello, depending on the class he is taking you may find that a normal digital camera will suffice. Most camera classes and courses now use digital, unfortunately the old film cameras are becoming a thing of the past. If your son is a mad keen photographer then I would consider investing in his future and buy him a good quality digital SLR. I hope this is somewhat helpful.

Hello, please check your battery so it's fully charged. If it is maybe your memory card has some problems, or there are problems with the conections of the lens to the body (a gentle dry cleaning will probably do). If everything fails, check the troubleshooting section of the manual, or seek profesional help.

Hi i have a nikon d40, but all my pictures are coming out blurry. i don't have it long and it was working perfectly. any help would be very grateful.

Actually that's perfectly normal operation. They turned out soft or a little blurry because the shutter speed was too slow for you to handhold, the aperture was wide open, or you moved the focus after focus was obtained. In auto mode, there are very few things you can set, so there isn't any setting it back to normal. You could try using a flash. But it probably boils down to proper holding technique and proper exposure.

You could benefit by taking a basic class on photography. Learn how to use your camera in the Manual mode and you'll be able to exactly figure out why your pictures in auto mode didn't come out looking as sharp as you thought they should. If you don't have time for or can't afford a basic class, your manual is a good place to start.
