Just wire the wires that are closed by the switch in the normal position.

The center is common. each side is a different circuit. so you have pins like this..

- -
- -
- -

we will number them like this....

1 - - 4
2 - - 5
3 - - 6

Hope this will make sense. Its hard to explain with text only.
when the switch is in the down position, it makes 2 connect with 3, and 5 connect with 6. so pull off 2 and 3 and solder them together and the heat shrink them. then take off 5 and 6 and solder them together and heat shrink them. then take of the one that is most likely on the 1 pin, and clip the end, and heat shrink it to prevent it from shorting out on anything.

No the radio should always be in the normal position and you may wire the switch to what ever you want.

Cant hear talk back without echo

all the new exports are setup when the echo is on the talkback is on.. unless they have a switch just for talkback. its just a simple wire down to the transistor to turn it on. to keep the audio goin during transmit... you can always have it on a switch so it can be on / off regardless of echo. shouldn't cost more than $8 at any shop.. call or text if you need more help..

I'm doing a talkback mod on a Cobra 29 LTD. I'm trying to wire it to the on/off channel 9, and I keep getting it turning onn all the time. When the switch is on or off, the talkback is still coming...

If you look at the tabs on the switch. You will have what looks like this.

* *
* *
* *

hook one wire to the center tab of one side. And then hook it to the top tab of the same side.

* *'''''''''''''''
* *'''''''''''''''

Hope that helps.

Hi, I have a connex 4600 turbo and I have a problem with the talkback on/off switch wiring. Can you tell me were the white wire attaches to from the switch? Thanks

The white wire coming from the Talkback switch goes to The middle of TR30. This location is towrd the back of the radio on the right hand side by the transformer with the radio facing at you!!

Talkback on a cobra 200 gtl dx

This procedure is not as simple as just cutting a wire. Note that you can possibly mess your radio up if any maintenace is not done properly. I do suggest taking your radio to a proffesional to have the talkback removed, but, if you really want to do it yourself, go to ghe following link and basically reverse what has been done.

http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/cobra/150gtl_dx/tsb/cobra_200gtl_dx_tsb_10041.pdf

This is the service bulletin for the addition of talkback to the Cobra 150GTL DX and the Cobra 200GTL DX.

As long as the talkback was added correctly, this can be put back origional.

If this does or does not help, please reply on here or email me at [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you.
