Ge profile JPB90W S2WW convection self cleaning

They do charge a fortune for parts. Get the part number for the controller and then log it into ebay. Often you can get the parts there for a much better price. Otherwise repair will not be cost effective unless the part is dirt cheap. Yeah, right!

Kenmore Electric Oven won't bake after using self-clean!

The oven temperature is regulated by a temperature sensor when placed in self clean the sensor is removed from the circuit and full power is applied to both the bake and broil elements causing an the temperature to exceed in some some models up to 1,000 F. I would recommend against using self clean for the simple fact that no oven cavity to this date has been designed to withstand that high of a temperature and therefore excess heat is passed upward resulting in damaged lock mechanisms, control boards, and other electronic components. The most common complaint I have had with built in ovens besides the element burning out, is the oven door locked shut. When I get to the house and I ask to tell me a little bit of whats going on the story always starts " well, I was using the self clean option" or some variation of the sort. Now comes the bad news, you fall under the catagory of damaged electronics. The control has been damaged and I wouldn't doubt if the sensor as well. The part number for the control is WB50T10056 and cost about 108.20. The sensor part number is going to be WB21X5301 and cost about 94.00 On the second part I would call my local parts distributor and as if there is a sub part for it and self yourself about 50 bucks or so. Sorry, and good luck.

We purchased our Frigidare Double Oven, Model Number FPET3085KFA, October 2009 (15 months ago). We ran the self-clean process for the first time yesterday on the top oven using the 4 hr option and it...

try turning your breaker off for 20 minutes, then try it again,, if this does not help it could have burnt out a element or the main board has went out,,, also make for sere you are getting the full 220 volts to the unit,, this will involve taking the unit out

Oven wont heat

That depends if the oven is electric or gas.

If it is electric, it can be heating element, temp probe, or control knob/buttons, board and wiring.

If it is gas it can be the igniter (check spark) , the thermostat, the safety valve that prevents accidental gas flow, or the control.

If the oven has self cleaning cycle, check that it is not stuck on self cleaning, try unplugging for a while and restarting self cleaning cycle in that case.

Oven too hot!!

sounds like a bad oven temp sensor, small 3-6 inch, metal probe in upper left corner of inner cavity, 2 screws and the sensor should pull right out, replace you should be fine
