Question about HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have the full software set for the C6180 installed on my laptop, which is connected wirelessly to the printer. I can print perfectly well to the printer from the laptop. I can copy etc on the printer.
When I run the HP Solution Center it exits with the error "No HP devices have been detected. HP Solution Center will close now."
Similarly if I try and use other software from the computer, it's not aware of the C6180 as a scanner.
If I try from the C6180 (choosing the scan to computer option) it says No Scanner Options.
Somehow for scanning purposes the two machines are unaware of each other - what do I need to do?
Close the Digital Imaging Monitor.
◄ Start or restart the services :
1. HP Cue Device Discovery.
2. HP Net Device Discovery.
◄ Run Digital Imaging Monitor.
◄ Wait for a Minute, if the configuration screen appears it is done else refresh the HP Cue Device Discovery
◄ Restart the Printer
◄ 99% chances of resolution and in the other cases a proper uninstall and reinstall is needed
If the issue still remains then :;
Added the files to the firewall exception list

iv. 139: netbios-Session (TCP),
v. 161: snmp. (UDP)
vi. 427: srvloc. (UDP)
vii. 5353: mDNS
viii. 9100: pcl/pjl print.
ix. 9101: debugging tcp recv/send
x. 9102: debugging tcp send
xi. 9103: debugging udp recv/send
xii. 9110: echo
xiii. 9220: generic gateway (scanning, pml).
xiv. 9290: scan.
xv. 9280: generic gateway
xvi. 2500: scan.
