There is just 1 little thing standing in between you and your water/ice. It's about the size of a deck of cards and leaves you thirsty. It's the Water Inlet Valve. This little jewel controls the water getting into the Refrigerator. When you push the lever it opens to dispense water. When it goes out you get nothing or maybe a trickle. It also has a valve that controls water to your ice maker so maybe you have water but no ice. Either way you are not happy. Good News!!! It is an EZ FIX... You can replace this part easily and probably in less time than you think. Step 1 Find the Make and Model of your Frige and get the Right Part. Step 2 Locate the Water Inlet Valve on your Refigerator. Follow the water supply line to the back of the frige. It is attached to the Inlet Valve. Step 3 Match the new part to the old part. They should look the same and have the same connections. Step 4 Unplug and Shut Off Water to the Refrigerator. Step 5 Mark the wires location on the old part or transfer them 1 at a time to the new part. Step 6 Remove and replace the water lines and mounting screws. Step 7 Turn on water and check for leaks. Step 8 Plug in your Frige and Enjoy. EZ FIX...
check your connection where you hooked water up to the frig. Also on some models there is a water filter on the front toe-plate. These filters will leak if they have a crack in them, so try replacing the filter first. If the filter and the connection are not the problem, you might have to replace the filter housing. Hope this helps, Clint
Turn water off water first fine water valve were line is hooked up trace to the main.its the selenoid its in the back of the frige for ice maker its is stuck on or open. replace
YOUR DEFROST DRAIN IS PLUGGED, YOU NEED TO REMOVE THEBACK PANNEL THE DE-ICE THE BOTTOM TRAY TO FIND A HOLE, YOU NEED TO CLEAN IT OUT UNTIL YOU CAN RUN WATER THROUGH IT.
The only thing between the inlet line and the spout?
Water Inlet solenoid, a valve that lets water in. Follow the inlet line to the back of frige. Unplug and turn off water before service. repace valve. EZ FIX...
no the water does not have to be plumbed in for the frige to cool. replace bulb. if short in the system exists then you will need to replace an interal wiring harness.
the line that gives water to the ice maker, every time the water comes down it lives a drip of water that turns to ice blocking the line, get some hot water and a towel and place the hot wet towel on top of the line intel it melts the ice in side the line. it happens to my frige at list once a year. if that is not the problem the valve that supplies water tho the ice maker needs replacing, it's behind the frige at the bottom, where the line coming from the house meets the frige.
When installed some debris may have gotten into your water valve and partially clogged it which is located where the water line hooks to your frig.
