The red protect light is coming on

It is possible that your amp is going over the threshold limit of draining current to give out the protect signal. What could be done is to first checkout if your speakers are loading the amplifier, check the rating of the speakers and the impedance, must not be too low.below 2 ohms. Now check the source signal if this is bringing in any transcient signals to power out the outputs particularily high/low freq. So decrease off your bass and treble to mid position and test again. see if there is any improvement, if so there could be a filter problem with your set. Connect an external source and see if the amp powers better , in such case check for fault in cables, input lines and ground with in the set. Repeat this and check. Hope this helps you out. Good day

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty . Send to Rockford Fosgate for repair .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. protect-zb4bomd1rt4qms0dqd12kkt2-3-0.jpg

SONY HT-5500D PROTECT IS FLASHING NO SOUND

Protected in short means that the amp is no longer powering the speakers due to one of the following: 1. Volume is up too loud 2. Equipment Failure 3. Dirty power
Turn amp on by pressing the function button on the remote of a source that has nothing on it or is not powered on. If it still says PROTECTED even though you are on a source with no sound coming in, then the equipment is in need of repair. If it simply comes on normal displaying the source turn the volume down till it says MIN. Find the range of your speaker and amp power by selecting a source with music or movie audio and slowly turn it up till either its too loud or says protected. Be sure to double check all speakers and wires to ensure wire integrity as well as proper connection.

Toshiba sd-kt50 dvd player turn on open/close hello appears protection appears and goodbye comes up turns it self off. we had two second power offs not associated with a storm

the sudden power cut-off can either blow the fuse or corrupt the system of DVDs.but, some DVDs has protection for this occurrence.try not to use it for sometime.then if it's well rested try turning it on see if is resets it's protection circuit.if not, a new unit or call a technician for it.
