    • Funny, a correct answer gets inappropriate

    • The maximum length of individual movie clips (approximately 10 frames/second) is about 30 seconds* at the setting, 3 minutes (approximately 15 frames/second) at the and settings.

    • * Recording times vary by the memory card.

    • When using the SD card supplied with the camera,
the maximum length is approximately 14 sec. These times may vary with
the subject and shooting conditions. Recording will automatically stop
when the maximum is reached or when the SD cards runs out of free
capacity. Filming may stop unexpectedly with certain types of SD card
(if it is a slow-recording card, if it has been formatted on a
different camera or a computer, or if images have been shot and erased
      repeatedly).

Cannon Powershot A400: Camera is not starting at all after using a fully charged chargeable batteries. the lens comes out a little as we power on and thats it, the screen is blank and there is no response...

These cameras invariably employ and metal worm against a nylon cog to move the lens barrel in and out. If dropped on the barrel while open, or the barrel is pressed, the nylon cog is ripped against the worm. There is no longer a smooth spiral for the cog to run on.

Not being funny but, its a fairly old camera with a low picture resolution, I would suggest its probably not worth repairing. Time for a new one.

Camera say no meomory card

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked" or "memory card error". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the switch on the side of the card, and the switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

Digital Camera CANON PowerShot A410-No VOICE Record

I'm sorry to tell you, but the PowerShot A410 model does not have a microphone to record voice. Of all the A400 models, only the A410 and A420 were made this way. For some unknown reason, Canon decided to not include micorphones wiith these two cameras, thus they can only record video, but no voice.

How can I turn the flash off on a cannon power shot a400 camera

Your menus will have options to be able to turn off the flash in certain modes.
The camera also has external buttons which will turn the flash on or off. Read your user manual.
The button which has the SET inside has four selectors. The right selector has a flash on/off button to turn the flash on or off. The flash usually will flash when set to flash all the time and not in AUTO mode. The AUTO mode may not allow you to turn off the flash. You probably have to choose another mode to allow the flash to be turned off.
If you do not have a user manual, here is a link to a free pdf download: User manual Canon A400
