I have Asko washing machine W600/Quattro 1000 and it is not closing the door all of a sudden - so not able to do washing.

Try lifting up on the outer bottom corner when shutting the door, if it shuts that way then there is probably a loose screw on the hinges that needs tightening.

My Asko 20004 washer has been running perfectly since November 1, 1996. On Friday, while washing a load, the washer suddenly stopped. No power, on-off switch did nothing and I checked the house fuses and...

Hello Rick,

Welcome to FixYa.

There are 2 internal fuses for the Asko washer, on the 20004 model they are located at the back next to the power cord...

To remove and check the fuses you`ll need a flat/slotted screwdriver and place it in the slot of the fuse holder and turn them left 1/4 turn and pull out.

**The above is an image for removing the dryer fuse, but the same procedure applies**

Once removed this is what you should see...

I would also suggest removing the top of the washer to visually inspect the condition of the wires as a poor connection can cause the fuses to blow.

The replacement part is a 240v 15 amp slow blow fuse. part number will be as listed below and it is a complete kit available at ""

Hope that answers your question or better yet solves the problem altogether.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and good luck. Please take a moment to rate the info provided and a short testimony if you will its warranted.

Power light is not turning on. I have replaced the 2 15 amp fuses in the washer (not ASKO fuses) and I have confirmed that the beaker panel is working fine and the dryer which is linked to the washer is...

There is need to check if there is power getting at the fuses and power getting to timer control board. That is done reading volts with a multimeter.

For safety reasons I need to remind that all test with live power must be done by a trained repairman.

If there is no power at all and you already replaced the two fuses, then problem can be power cord, internal wiring harness, control assembly .

Asko 20005 Washing Machine Stopped Running

If all your power did shut down of the machine it might well be a fuse problem.
If you have a mult meter you can check the resistance of the fuses. they must be near 0 . infinit resistance means blown.
otherway to test it lol for the DIY under us take a 9 volts batterie and conect one pole to the fuse . now connect tongue to fus and other pole. Little shock? no blown fuse.
nothing than the fuse is blown. ( by the way not the most pleasurable feeling)
Let me know if they were blown or not.
